Seven problems related to brake foundation components have been reported for the 1996 Kia Motor Sephia. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer states that the brakes don't function properly. Owner states that she was going about 50-55 mph trying to come to a stop she pumped the brakes and also put the pedal to the floor of vehicle. Dealer has replaced the front brake pads and turned the right rotor, and brakes are still imporable.
Steering locked up momentarily, upon releasing, driver loss control, resulting in accident/injury, also brakes failed to stop vehicle.
Vehicle brakes had failed three times. Please describe.

Consumer had the brake repaired and they failed again 6299 miles later, they had the brakes removed and taken to a specialist who informed them that the rotors were the oringinally installed rotors at the time of manufacturing. Consumer feels the the brake job done prior was never done or the new brakes installed were defective. Nlm.
Brake pedal goes to the floor, seems to be air in brakes. Dealer cannot duplicate problem.
