general problems of the 2007 Kia Motor Sorento

The doors were locked by using the button on the driver side of our kia Sorento. This is performed each time the car is traveling on the road. When the car was parked, the automatic unlock for all the doors worked for both front seat passengers but not the two rear doors. The inside handles for opening the doors on both of the rear passenger doors did not open. Attempting to prior the lock mechanism on both rear doors did not work either thus I was trapped in the back seat of the vehicle. I had to crawl out of the truck of the vehicle to exit. In my opinion, this poses a serious safety concern not only with this kia but with other ones as well. What interesting about this incident is that mechanics, at kia or other places have no idea how to solve the problem.

I tried to contact the manufacturer to fix the recall but they have told me multiple times they do not have the part to replace or fix.

The car makes a bad ticking noise mostly when start up and it gets so bad that sounds like my engine head wants to blow. And everytime I start the car the biggest cloud of smoke comes out the exhaust can cover an entire parking lot with smoke its very embarrassing. Theres an electrical problem with the windows and the switches. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I think my car also missing rear suspension shock absorbers. My oil levels get so low that the check engine light and oil sensor light don't even come on to warm me. I mean my car looks new but has internal defective problems. Kia Sorento-2007-front passenger-air bag "idiot light". For 2 yrs. Trips back and forth regarding this light to dealer. Unable to assure that air bag system is really working. Light is on when someone is sitting in seat and indicates the air bag is off. Seats and sensors have been replaced to no avail. They just told me today 8-23-2010 that there is no more they can do. Light is still on and their computer still says that it is working. You have many complaints of the same thing-is anything being done? either the light,sensor,air bag or computer is not right. This has been a problem since I bought the car new. This is an intermittent occurrence-doesn't matter when or who is sitting in the seat, if the car is warm or cold. The seat(sensor) has been changed,computer has diagnosed and kia has talked to the tech's. Their machines are not telling them that something is wrong but the service managers and sales people have witnessed it. Are you investigating this?.
