Sudden vibration on the engine while driving. No power upon acceleration. Heavily oil consumption. Had a problem on the seat belt with in couple of year of purchased, however the dealer fixed it for free. Catalytic converter was brooked at 80k milage exactly when the warranty over. It was costly to replace.

The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 mph, another vehicle stopped in front of the contact’s vehicle and the brake pedal was depressed to attempt to avoid a crash; however, the vehicle skidded and crashed into the rear of the other vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. During the crash the front end and the hood of the vehicle was severely damaged, but the air bags did not deploy. Additionally, the seat belt malfunctioned and failed to secure the contact in the seat, causing the contact's chest and stomach to impact the steering wheel. The contact sustained a bruised chest and neck injury but had not yet sought medical treatment. The contact stated that an appointment was schedule to see her primary care physician. The contact was unaware of any injuries to the other driver. A police report was filed at the scene but was not available. The vehicle was towed away from the scene. The contact stated that the vehicle was destroyed. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 80,000.

The contact owns a 2019 kia Soul. The contact stated that the vehicle was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil. Additionally, the seat belt warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where an oil change was performed, and the contact was informed that the vehicle had consumed two quarts of engine oil. This vehicle is currently at lunsford's towing, and will be moved to another location. Potentially this could be my new residence at 286 hemlock lane, london, ky 40741, but I would like to have contact/see if this has any issues first. There were two components of this accident: 1) a multi-vehicle collision, and a single vehicle collision between the kia and a tree. I do not believe that these potential issues had much to do with the first component. However, I kept going after this accident, and had a large mark on my head. I am unsure about what my head hit, but my seatbelt may have failed to restrain me. Further, there was little braking before the first component of this, but there seemed to be little significant slowdown after the first part.

This is a supplement to the earlier filed report. The brakes on this kia Soul did not appear to be working, no matter how hard I pressed on it. Further, I flew forward in this accident, causing me to hit my head. It was like the seatbelt was not working at all. I had to be checked for a potential concussion at the local hospital.

My friend and I picked up a kayak that I bought and we had to put it in the car. When she was in the car I had to fasten the seat belt for her. We got it home and removed it from the vehicle, I had to unfastened the seat belt. When I took her home, the seat belt would not pull out. I still cannot pull out the seat belt. I contacted the dealership and they told me that it would have to be replaced at a cost of $700, which includes the labor. They said that it wasn't under the warranty to replace it. My understanding is that you would have to replace the seatbelt if you had been in an accident, which I have not. I am taking it in tomorrow in hopes that they can fix it and not have to replace it. Anyway, I hope no one else is having this problem.

On April 05, 2022 I was struck head-on by a negligent driver who rounded a blind turn at a rate of speed of above sixty miles per hour. His vehicle drifted across the double yellow lines into my lane and hit three quarters of my front bumper. He was driving a four door sedan and I was driving a 2019 kia Soul. My vehicle was lifted off of the ground, slid across his hood and roof, landed on its side and grinder against the passenger side of the car along the floor and the roof grinded the guard rail. My steering wheel air bag did not deploy, causing my head to go through the windshield. All of this is evidenced by my dual camera dash cam. The front panel of my car was crushed, which caused the side curtain airbags to deploy. Unfortunately, even though the main impact was the front bumper, the steering wheel airbag did not deploy. I suffered severe permanent injuries from this accident. I have emailed the claims department of Kia Motors, but have yet to hear a reply. Thank you! I pray that no one else has to endure such a travailing experience due to a faulty product prevent vehicles from being crash worthy.

Seat belts do not lock in place when braking, but randomly lock in place while cruising. Severe electric discharge from vehicle, as well as power surges causing lights to burn out repeatedly.

The child safety seat latches are inaccessible as they are buried in tight upholstery. I can't always successfully latch the car seats into the car and when I succeed it is only with the help of someone very experienced and takes upwards of half an hour. Hello. . I am a little upset. I was involved in a vehicle accident at the speed of 40mpg. The air bags did not deploy, and the seatbelt did not lock. I ended up hitting my chin and jaw on the steering wheel. The major damage to my car is front passenger side.

I was driving down a highway during the summer where the outside temperature was 95 degrees. The seat belt light down there by the console came on. It stayed on for five minutes until I was able to park the vehicle and turn it off, then turn it back on again. It happens again less than a year later. This time the light came on three times in ten minutes. The outside temperature was again 95 degrees. Takata recall my airbags never deployed, the brakes never took effect to make me slide skid or stop. Seatbeat never held me back from slamming into steering wheel.

The front passenger seat belt does not engage easily. They think they are buckeled up until I point at the indicator light, or they buckle up and it just doesn't click like it's supposed to and they will pull it out and try multiple times until it engages. . This is all while the vehicle is stationary. . I just don't want any surprises in case of an accident, I need my passengers secured. . .

The driver and passenger seat belts do retract after the are used. The pull out but they will not retract back in the seat belt area.

We were hit in rear by a truck. My wife and I went forward to almost the dash and steering wheel, the belts never caught. I called kia talked to office in California he said they should have caught. Took to kia dealer has advised and they said it worked fine. They adjusted because now you pull a little ways they lock. The server writer said the tech told him they would not lock for being hit in rear. Talked to California again the same person and he said they would not lock because we went back first and then forward. We was stopped at a yield sign for traffic on a highway waiting to go to another highway when we were hit.

I keep having alot of issues with the center rear seatbelt. It's been fixed before and still locks up so it won't pull out or go in. Very irritating to keep having this issue. Which now , isn't under warranty.

Air bags did not deploy during collision. Seat belt tensioner front passenger side did not engage.

I have had several instances where I have had the seat belt fasten light come on when traveling down the road. Initially I tried parking the car, turning off the ignition for 30-60 seconds, turning the car back on, and once I start moving again the indicator would come back on. What I finally realized, after doing some testing, is that if I place my cell phone on the front passenger seat towards the center of the car (placing it about 1/2 way from the from the front to the back of the seat), it will trip the system and cause the seat belt warning indicator to come on. After doing some trials, I have found, removing the cell phone from the seat and placing it either in the cup holders or the center console will actually shut off the indicator. In closing, I was utilizing the bluetooth for both hands free and navigation when this problem occurred, I also had the phone plugged into a cigarette lighter adapter (not the one for ipod). The car was moving approximately 10 mph (the default speed for the indicator to come on with the seat belt warning to come on). The chime does not turn on at all, but the seat belt indicator light will flash.

From the driver's seat, my shoulder harness comes from left shoulder to right hip, where it is latched. The shoulder harness does not stay in a cross-body position and rides up to under my right armpit. I do not have a barrel belly that would force this up. The strap then is high enough to cross over my neck. I will be taking the car to the dealer to see if there is any "fix" for this, because I don't want to be beheaded by an improperly positioned strap. I have moved the adjuster on the door post and changed my seat postion. Neither action made a difference. With the seat more forward, the steering wheel is pretty close. How far away should I be? anyway, I'm just wondering if others have had a problem with the shoulder harness riding up and what can be done about it. L.

I hired this car from thrifty rental cars, and was in a collision on the i80 freeway, wherein I hit the vehicle in front during stop-start traffic, I was travelling way below the speed limit. The seat belt did not hold me in place, and I flew forward over the steering wheel, and hit the windscreen. I suffered mild concussion, whiplash, and bruising down the front of my body. I may have also permanently damaged my neck. I have reported this incident to thrifty, but they are refusing to take any action.
