Vsa Warning Light On Problems of Kia Motor Soul

1. The electronic stability control warning light comes on and goes off intermittently and unpredictably. 2. I replaced the map light. It just stopped working and I replaced it with a new one I ordered myself. A local garage did the work, not a dealer.

Brake light will not illuminate when depressed. Break light switch not functioning properly. Esc/stability control light stays on continuous while car is in motion or stopped. Tail lights burn out every 6-12 month, as well as head lamps burning out often.

My kia Soul was manufactured 11/16 & has 8,643 miles on it as 10/8/19. I started my car the morning of 10/719 & the air bag and electronic stability control indicator lights went on and will not go off. This morning the passenger's seat belt light was flashing also. Are there any recalls on these items for my vehicle?.

This is a reoccurring issue which kia can't identify or troubleshoot. It has been in the kia garage half a dozen times and still hasn't been fixed. The issue happens when the vehicle is initially started. The status lights in the dash all light up and go out one by one when systems are confirmed good, except the electronic assist steering and electronic stability control lights stay lit. The electronic assist power steering does not work as it is impossible to turn the wheel even if the vehicle is put into gear and driven forward or backwards. You have to turn the ignition off and restart the vehicle to reset everything and then it is fine. Kia was called out to a parking lot at one point while the systems failed and they hooked up their diagnostics to the port and were unable to communicate with the vehicles computer system in order to diagnose the problem. I have been told to track this issue and there is nothing that can be done until the system totally fails and refuses to reset. Diagnostics does not pickup the error when it occurs and the vehicles internal computer does not register the failure either.

Speed control - the speed control did not disengage on numerous occaisions, when the brake was gently applied or tapped, speed control did not disengage and the speed actually increased. The vehicle is currently with the dealer. We were able to demonstrate replicate the problem with the service technician driving the vehicle. Horn - does not activate seems to occur when vehicle warmed up. Was able to demonstrate to dealer stability control light activates and does not turn off intermittently.
