1 Brake Fluid Leak problem of the 2002 Kia Motor Spectra

Failure Date: 08/13/2013

Driving at 35 mph, slowing down approaching traffic light, pressed on brakes and had almost no tension. Nearly smashed directly into the person in front of me. Used both feet with all the pressure I could give to stop the car. Found out that the brake proportioning valve is leaking brake fluid leaving me with no brake fluid whatsoever. Very dangerous. The proportioning valve needs replacing. I have been filling up the brake fluid reservoir at least once a week. This is an incredibly dangerous situation to be in. Thousands of people have had this same problem, why has this not been assessed?.

2 Brake Fluid Leak problem of the 2003 Kia Motor Spectra

Failure Date: 01/01/2013

At my cost I had to replace the brake proportioning valve which was causing a brake fluid leak. Apparently this is a common dangerous situation. Please create a recall before someone's brakes completely fail in traffic.

4 Brake Fluid Leak problem of the 2003 Kia Motor Spectra

Failure Date: 05/01/2010

My brake light went on ( thought it was parking brake stuck or brake maintenance time ) , after spending over $400 to get everything replaced . . . . It was discovered that my proportioning valve went bad ! leaking brake fluid ( had to replace every other day ) . Why is there no recall ?.
