Front Seat Belt Problems of Kia Motor Spectra

2005 kia Spectra. Consumer states airbags did not deploy during an accident the consumers daughter was driving. Also, the seat belt did not lock into place. Updated 12/08/jb the consumer stated the vehicle was totaled. Updated 07/20/10.

I had no indication that my seat belt or airbag were faulty. While driving at 40 mph I struck a car that turned left directly in front of me. My seat belt failed to lock and I was lifted out of the seat and hit my head, shoulder, and hip on the left side of my car. The airbag did not inflate. The insurance adjuster could not believe that the airbag didn't inflate considering the force of the impact.

The front panel in the consumer's 2003 kia Spectra made noise. The consumer had several problems concerning the vehicle. The drivers seat belt was broken, driver and passenger doors were inoperative, faulty speaker, the vehicle would not move forward or in reverse, there would be a clicking sound if it was forced, the vehicle would not accelerate over 30 mph for 10 minutes.

While driving vehicle was involved in a collision. The seat belt broke as a result of driver not being restrained properly. Please provide additional information.

While driving vehcile was in hit on the driver side, which caused the vehicle to spin out of control and went into a ditch. The driver nor the passenger side seat belt retracted upon impact causing injuries to both occupants. Please provide more details. Ts.
