One problem related to air bag has been reported for the 1998 Kia Motor Sportage. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Head on collision with a deer, had damage to front grill, the hood shifted with big dents from the deer, the deer hit the windshield (60%) was gone and the windshield wipers were ripped off. I was going about 30-35 miles and no air bags went off.
