Its approx 57 degrees out. 6:30 am this morning went outside to start car came, back 10 minutes later to go to work and found a crack (which wasn't there when I started the car) from bottom left corner up to the top. On my way to work another crack started in the middle of the windshield. My car is 9 weeks old, no accident, no chips. When I called the car dealer they said call my insurance company it should be covered. I told them that I felt they should take care of it. They told me no. What will happen in the dead of winter?.

No failure/crash/injury to myself or anyone I know, but design complaint that could result in injury. My 2006 kia Sportage received good crash test ratings, which is why I purchased the car. I have 1 child, under 3, who's car seat is in the middle of the back because the owner's manual states car seats are unsafe on either side in the rear of the vehicle because of side curtain airbags. The only location for latch is in either side of the vehicle. I am about to have a 2nd child, and now have no safe way to place 2 children in the rear of this vehicle. I know it is a legal requirement that all vehicles have latch in the cars, but how legal can it actually be, if the locations of latch are not safe for the children?.

I have a 2005 kia Sportage. The headliner and sun visors and the back are a cloth material - the rest is leather. The problem is little tiny black fibers are coming through the tan colored headliner etc. There fibers are coming through in abundance, laying on the dash board and console. It can be cleaned one day and the fibers are there again the next. These fibers are very very small. They are also getting on my skin - they itch and stick to my skin. The primary concern is that these fibers are so small, and I know that I am breathing them in. Have you had other complaints about this. I have consulted the dealer and they are waiting for the main warranty dept to get back to them - in the mean time I am concerned about my health - please advise.

Fuel tanks rust out quick. I noticed smell of gas, and replaced tank immediately. No damage was done, just concern for others. Poor design captures moisture between fuel tank and skid plate. This has cost me 250. 00 for the tank, a half day of labor, and I'm concerned with putting skid plate back on. I looked on the internet to see if there were similar problems. There were several exact and others found with the fuel tanks. No cars have caught fire yet.

I bought my kia Sportage in 09/19/2006 by 9/25/2006 I started to hear squealing noises in front of the engine and when I first started it I would press the gas but the car would die. I brought it to the dealership about 5 times when they finally fixed it. Then I found out 3 weeks later in the rain that water was coming in the top left corner of the windshield. In 1/04/07 I wad headed to work and the car just suddenly die again so the dealership towed it back.

Brake light comes on whenever I applied the brakes. I went to an auto dealer and had them check out the brakes. They told me that the master brake cylinder was leaking badly.

Consumer states that since buying the vehicle in January of 2003 rotors have been replaced twice in that time. The faulty rotors caused vibration while braking. The rotors were replaced once at 5699 miles and again at 8694 miles. When the engine was started all the doors locked, but when it was damp outside the locks worked intermittently.
