The contact stated while driving 40 mph at night on a back road, the hi-beam headlights were activated but failed to illuminate brighter than the low-beam headlights. The contact continued driving to his residence. After arriving home, the contact inspected the vehicle and noticed that the hi-beam headlights were not working as designed. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the hi-beam bulbs were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 44,100.
