Recall NHTSA campaign id number: 02v022000 component: service brakes, hydraulic:antilock is related to the failure; however, the dealer stated that the VIN was not included. The vehicle will be repaired at the owners expense for $1,200. 00. For one week the dealer has been repairing the vehicle. The failure and current mileages were 101,000.

2 Brake Antilock Wheel Speed Sensor problem of the 1996 Land Rover Discovery

Failure Date: 11/01/2000

Under normal braking abs is activated. Dealer replaced right wheel speed sensor. At this time vehicle is at dealership, same part is being replaced.

The right front wheel speed sensor failed causing problems with the abs system. The warning lamp illuminates intermittently and the brakes are not reliable. The abs activated under normal braking conditions.
