1 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 07/25/2008

Auto accident which the car we were driving ran into the back of another car. Damage to our vehicle was high, medium and low on the front end. Total damage amount was $9100, totaling the car. The airbags did not deploy, resulting in injury to the passenger in the front seat. Since the car was totaled, there was nothing done to correct the lack of air bag deployment.

2 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 06/25/2008

The contact owns a 1999 Land Rover Discovery Ii. While driving approximately 45 mph, the contact signaled to go left but the vehicle went right. The contact rear ended another vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy and the vehicle was destroyed. The passenger sprained her neck and back. A police report was filed. The current and failure mileages were 114,000.

3 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

Failure Date: 12/23/2005

: the contact stated while driving 70 mph, the brake pedal was applied, but the vehicle did not slow down. There was a beeping noise and the abs light illuminated. The vehicle hit a pole and rolled over 5 times. The driver side front made impact with the pole, but the airbags did not deploy. The seatbelt was worn, but the contact sustained a fractured shoulder, hip, pelvis and 3 ribs. There was a police report taken at the scene. The insurance company deemed the vehicle a total loss. There is a NHTSA recall, # 02v022000, regarding the antilock brakes. The vehicle has the same problems as indicated in the recall; however, it is not included in the recall due to the VIN.
