The contact owns a 2015 Land Rover Lr4. The contact stated while attempting to park the vehicle, the gear shift selector seized in reverse while the contact was attempting to shift into drive. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where the failure was diagnosed as a faulty gear shift selector. The independent mechanic informed the contact that the entire gear shift selector needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 104,000.
