I own the above Land Rover Range Rover. While driving on the highway I heard a loud pop and then found that the interior glass panel of the sunroof was completed shattered into thousands of pieces. The sunroof is composed of two pieces of glass. The exterior glass was not affected. I did nothing to cause this to occur. I found reports online of similar occurrences. The sunroof was inspected by my local Range Rover dealer in jackson, ms who had no explanation of how this happened or could happen. I was told I would be responsible for the repair. It has yet to be repaired.

While driving door the highway my drivers side passenger door came open with my daughter in law in the rear seat as well as my 6 month old grandaughter. When this happen. . The screaming and hollering from the back seat caused my, the driver, to slam on brakes and pull to the shoulder hitting a safety guard rail and damaging my rear bumper. Land rover representative said they could not assume responsibility and told me to contact my insurance company for repair.
Right rear door will not lock when using the remote or electric lock feature. In order to lock the door you must manually depress the lock feature. When driving the door remains unlocked and therefore could open.
My car did not tell me what the recall was, and it was not repaired successfully, but my main driving door could not be unlocked and locked automatically; another fault is that there is always a loud friction sound while driving, which has not been resolved for me; there is also the feeling that the lower half of the door is about to fall off, like a broken car; because of the above faults, my car was basically parked at home.
Takata recall air bags are dead only after 40k miles, breaks dead after 14k even changed at dealer , and driver door is making squicky sound when ever u open and close door.

While driving home yesterday my driver door flew open while going down hwy 167 south. ( I know the door was shut! it was locked when I got in the car) while driving the rest of the way home holding the driver door shut ! because it wouldn't close!( not even the soft shut door close) I got home and research for recalls or safety issues. . . There is a recall but, says it was done a year ago! but, apparently the recall part or software didn't work! I almost fell out of the SUV yesterday while driving!.
Land rover part # knb 500023, listed as knb 500080 in the Range Rover kit accessory booklet is for a tow hitch, that has a high failure rate. Filed case with Land Rover and they refuse to correct part under their Land Rover protection plan in force. The unique part male end is inserted into a female integrated part of the chassi and together forms a 2" x 2" class iii capable of towning 77016 # with a tongue weight of 550# as imprinted or forged on the Land Rover part. There are cases on record in other countries that there is a high degree of failure rate when the vehicle is towing trailers according to the manufacture specification. So report that the locking system , does not latch full and reports of these 5# part will fall off while the vehicle is in motion. I have had two failure on towing and consider this a highway safety issue subject to immediate recall.
Front passenger door did not latch and opened on the highway with car in motion. This is after Land Rover recall work on door latch was completed in December 2015. The recall did not work! I had to drive slowly 2 miles home as I could not hold the door closed whilst driving.

I was traveling at approximately 60mph on a highway and all of a sudden the driver's side door opens. My left elbow was resting on the door with just the weight of my elbow and all of a sudden I feel my elbow drop down and a gust of wind. The door opened maybe an inch before closing back up again. The door quickly closes from either the wind or the soft close door mechanism.

I was turning into a parking space going approx. 2 mph when suddenly the car accelerated so fast that it jump onto the curb and hit a tree. Luckily, I did not hit a person or another car. However, my brand new car is now in the body show and is estimated to cost at least $40k. It completely damaged the inside of my car. Its mind boggling to me how the speed all of a sudden went so fast. Note that I do not have the VIN because it is in the body shop. Also, it is the Range Rover sport 2014 (that option was not available in the selection so I just chose Range Rover 2014).
In October 2013 while I took my car to a private garage for oil change. The mechanic noticed that the frame on my vehicle was rotted out . He called me into the garage and showed me the problem. I immediately called the Land Rover dealership were the car was purchased new and they have been doing the service on the vehicle since it was new . I informed the service manager of the issue and I questioned the fact that no one at the dealership ever mentioned the rust issue on my vehicle. The service manager asked me to drive up to the dealership so they can take a look at it. Once at the dealership the service manager put up the car on the lift and was shocked to see how bad things were. He took pictures of the frame and contacted Land Rover main office and sent them the pictures. Land rover main office contacted me and told me that they have never seen anything like this before but they made the decision not to cover fixing the problem although it is a safety issue . My concern is that one day this car is going to break in half and a major accident would occur because of it. I really need your help.

I was in an accident on 6/29/2013 with my new Range Rover sport luxury model. We took it to Land Rover of glen cove for repairs. After 30 days the car was not repaired and I was told the 1/4 panel was on back order until 8/23/13. Approx 8/20/13, I was told that the part was not coming and it was pushed back to 9/23/13. After following up earlier this week, I am now being told that the part is not coming until "possibly" 10/30/13. They claim there is not one single 1/4 panel in stock anywhere in the entire USA, and it is being made and shipped from the uk, "hopefully" it will ship on 10/16/13 from the uk, have to go through customs and be available by the end of October. Hard to believe it will even come then after all of the other false promises, but if it does the soonest I would get my car back is mid November; 4. 5 months later. I can't believe that automotive manufacturers are not required to stock parts for new cars? I feel that there is no end in sight and even after complaining to Land Rover corporate, all I am told is sorry you have to wait nothing we can do. Is there no protection or recourse for a consumer?.
Arm rest in the middle of the rear seat when it is in the upright position impairs the vision of the driver. Very difficult to see out of rear window.
