The coolant reservoir has a known defect well known by the dealership and the service department at Land Rover. The coolant reservoir has a level indicator built inside the reservoir which gets saturated with coolant and drops to the bottom of the reservoir. Then the low coolant light indicator comes on on the dash giving you a false reading even though the coolant is not low. For this the car owner will need to replace the coolant reservoir which cost over $200 in parts plus labor. The level indicator cost is probable under $5 dollars, but it's built in and unable to replace just that. I think this is poorly built by the manufacturer or is poorly built this way for consumers having to spend hundreds of dollars in parts and labor.

To whom it may concern, my vehicle which is at 15,000 miles and about 18 months old, has been facing continuous failures on its electric and electronic components that affected the air suspension shutting down, emergency break locking up, sudden shut down of the middle main console, a shut down of safety features around mirrors and similar vehicle safety warning systems. The issues happen while driving. I took it back to my dealer several times and even the last time after service the car came back with an engine warning sign. I made multiple attempts with Land Rover to correct and stated that my family and I feel very unsafe and insecure not knowing what can break down next. When we asked if it is safe the company responded that we should make that determination without an engineering or technical background. The company also said they will take 30 business days to review our case however upon several reminders that we are not feeling safe, Land Rover opts to ignore or state that they do not have resources ie people to review these cases. I would like to enter into record that we did make many attempts to relay our concerns and if there are to be any accidents it is the fault of the company for continuously ignoring the seriousness of the case and total lack of care for passenger safety. I am writing on this venue hoping that you might be able to convince the company to pay attention to the matter.

Horn was intermittently not working and has now stopped working completely. Have had fuses checked and was directed that there are known issues being reported online, but Land Rover in walnut creek is unwilling to check because there is no recall.

Lower screen module is going out.
The bottom screen module in my vehicle is constantly going out. I'm not able to operate any of my control features in the vehicle. I've contacted the manufacturer and I have yet to receive any assistance in preventing this issue or fixing this issue. The screen controls the heating, air and other safety options such as the drive mode, defroster and etc.
When stationary, backing up, and even driving the computer screen locks and parking aid alert, cameras unavailable. Please consult your dealer. Warning comes on preventing the ability to see blindspots when backing up that are not visible by turning and looking alone or using mirror. This has happened countless times. I have taken this to dealership under warranty and software updates have been done. However this is still happening. I contacted landrover and they stated this issue is known and no codes as to why it happens are able to be stored on this model as it was not made for this, however they will only replace if codes are stored. I have taken pictures and videos of this and sent to landrover, however they still want codes even after telling me they know it will never have them. This is alarming as the camera helps to ensure no person, animal, or object is behind vehicle that is unable to be seen without camera as this vehicle sits high. Also, this vehicle has other safety alerts that are part of the same system that has me worried could malfunction at any point such as auto braking to prevent hitting vehicles in front of you and auto cruise control that keeps a safe distance from the vehicles in front of you by slowing vehicle down automatically while set. This could cause someone to be injured or even killed as well as property damage. Also, my dash that shows speed fuel, and such is also fully digital and am worried this might be effected too and at any point lockup or disappear. Photos show different times on screen.

A third of the time, upon entering the vehicle, the dash beeps and displays "gear shifter not in park. ", the aeb, now disabled, displayed on the dash at inappropriate times while driving, and while attempting to park the car once out of d, the gear shift would not go into p, r, n or back in to d. The dash message instructed me to select a gear, but I could not. The car had to be turned off and restarted. After the first repair attempt, I contacted a lr salesperson living in another city. He told me, in confidence, that some of the rr sports at his dealership experience these same problems. He said: the issue runs deeper than I have experienced, is complex and could take months, maybe a year, to repair, and confirmed it is a safety issue. He advised me not to drive my car. After contacting lrna, they told me that this problem is "under investigation" and they don't "believe" it to be a "substantial safety issue. " I disagree. Since then, on two occasions, lrna told my case adviser at the dmv a fix is coming. The first has come and gone, the second is due next week. My dealership is disinterested and treats me as if I am the only owner of a 2017 rr sport experiencing these issues. Even though, I met the owner of a 7 day old 2017 rr sport in the service wait area, whose car would not start that morning. Upon conversation she told me her car displayed the same warnings as mine. Our visit was abruptly interrupted when the dealership's gm approached us and asked if he could personally drive her home instead of her having to wait. Although we were interrupted, it is easy to find these problems are rampant as lr forums confirm. Three months after purchasing my new car which still sits in service, and has been in service over half of the ownership duration, there are only promises of a repair on the way and no definitive statement on the safety of my vehicle.

Complaint attached.
I am writing to inform you about a flaw in the automatic door close mechanism on my 2014 Range Rover Sport. After accidentally getting my thumb caught in the door and immediately trying to open the door, I was only able to watch as the auto close mechanism pulled the door closed completely before it would release & crushing my thumb to the point where I lost my fingernail and needlessness to say, suffered severe pain in the process. It was clear in the second or two that it took the door to close completely and trying to open it at least 3 times, there was no chance it was going to open until it was completely closed. The closer should obviously release when the handle is pulled or recognize when there is resistance as a safety precaution.
The automated parking feature on the car does not work. Our vehicle went up on a curb and almost hit a car and a tree when we tried using this feature. We were informed that the manufacturer is aware of the problem, all other 2015 models have the same issue, and the manufacturer is looking into a fix. This is a dangerous situation that should be addressed immediately.

I was stopped in traffic and as the traffic start moving I step on the gas and the car did not move. I had to once again move the gear back to d. It happened multiple times and range rover said there is no recall for it. So far it hasn't yet happened on the highway. Thanks god.
