Two problems related to transmission gear slipping have been reported for the 2002 Lexus ES300. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving at any speed,transmission slipped while shifting from third to fourth gear. Also, there wa s hesitation, and the rpms went way up. Dealership replaced a chip and calibrated the transmission, and problem recurred.
