"takata recall" I contacted the local dealer at 8:00 am and was told that they would provide me with a loaner vehicle from enterprise for up to 35. 00 per day. However, the service manager was in a meeting and would call me back at 11:00 am with the particulars on how to go about getting into the vehicle. Since I did not received a call from the service manager I called back and was told that my vehicle was safe to drive and I would not get a loaner car. I was also told that if I had any other concerns to call Lexus customer service . I called Lexus customer service and explained that it is totally unacceptable that I cannot use my passenger front seat without the risk of injury or death to the front seat passenger. I regularly travel with 4-5 other passengers in my vehicle. Again, I was told that I was not at risk because of the area in which I reside. That being the case, I requested a hold harmless letter from Toyota motor corporation. The customer service representative said he would send me an email which he did but it did not address my specific needs or concern.

Takata recall. I was informed of the recall. No current repair and was advised to not operate with a front seat passenger. Contacted the manufacturer and was told the remedy would not be ready until, at least, first quarter 2017. The dealership is willing to provide a non-comparable loaner vehicle (I would expect a luxury vehicle). My vehicle was purchased with an extended warranty and scratch and dent protection. I have also prepaid for an xm subscription. All of these purchases are being wasted if I accept the loaner. If I don't accept a loaner, my vehicle continues to depreciate and is no longer serving my needs. This is an unacceptable solution and the time period for the inconvenience (6+ months) is too long.

Takata recall comments: hello. . I received a interim recall notice for my 2011 Lexus Es350. In the notice it stated, that it is recommended that I do not have a passenger in the front passenger area due to airbag defect. They have not come up with remedy for this problem they just stated they recommend not to have passenger there. How can I drive this car and not carry passengers? this is unreasonable request for automaker to make to consumer. I have 48,000 miles currently on it. I sent complaint to Lexus dealer and they recommend that I store the car until end of the year and not drive it until they have remedy. This is ridiculous that they instruct the customer to do this. I contacted Lexus 2 days ago and have not received response. Can I demand that they buy my vehicle back? or demand that they give me a alternate/loan car to drive in the meantime before fix can be found and problem solved? I purchased a Lexus extended warranty to 100,000 miles also! VIN # [xxx] thank you. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Takata recall. Please see complaint number 1039859, dated 11/07/16. This situation is still unsatisfied. I received a recall notice last July. It said that parts would be available in November. Then it was December; then January; then March. My latest call to a local dealer resulted in them telling me that the parts would be there in September. Meanwhile, the car sits. I can't even sell it. This is totally unacceptable. Why haven't I heard from either Lexus or your office regarding the excessive delay. Thank you, donald kent.

Takata recall. Lexus notified me of the airbag problem recall on may 23, 2016. It has been 10 months since I was notified and Lexus continues to tell me they are not prepared to fix my car, and they have no idea when they can! to make matters worse l recently tried to trade-in my Lexus at a Honda dealership and they did not want the car because the recall is not fixed ! rightly so because they should not be able to sell the car with a recall not repaired! so I'm stuck with it till Lexus can fix it. So not right!!.

Takata recall I received the airbag safety recall in June 2016, and I have not been able to use the front passenger seat of my car since then. I have not received another update about the remedy for the potentially deadly and exploding airbag in my car, and it has been four months. Local auto dealerships do not know the timeline for replacements, either. This is awful. I need to be able to transport passengers in my front seat.

Takata recall. Today's date: 01/27/17. I'm filling this complaint in regards to the takata airbag recall. I am upset and dissatisfied that no remedy/solution has been taken regarding this issue. I received a letter back in June 2016 about this recall and also a couple pages of faq. I called up my local dealership today, and was informed the parts to fix this recall issue are still not available. According to the safety instructions listed on the recall notice: "until the remedy becomes available, we recommend that you do not operate the vehicle with an occupant in the front passenger seat. " how much longer must my four-person passenger car remain a three-person passenger car? how much longer must so many others and myself have to wait for this issue to be fixed? how much longer must I drive my car and have to worry about possibly getting into an accident and having shrapnel propelled at me from my passenger seat air bag? the wait time for the parts to be issued to resolve this recall is absurd.
Takata recall I received a recall notice June 9, 2016. On October 3, 2016 I spoke with laurie who alleged that I was in zone a which would be among the first to be repaired (anticipated date of repair the first of the year). I called back on 1-11-17 and spoke with joel. The dealership had not rec'd the parts, they have not heard from takata. In the interim I have been asked that no one sit on the passenger side until the issue is resolved. I should continue paying for a luxury vehicle that they have asked no one sit in. It is my belief that neither Lexus or takata intend on remedying this defect. I am outraged that in almost a year absolutely nothing has been done. Yet, Lexus still expects payment. And, to add insult to injury they have put, in writing, that the vehicle is not safe. In writing: high temperatures and humidity (state of georgia) cause the issue to worsen. Does the NHTSA deem this appropriate?.
