The brake is very spongy. The pedal gets very low to the floor. Its hard to stop these car. Brake fluid, brake pads and rotors check out fine at the dealership. There are complaints about defects with the master cylinder. My car has 44000 miles and the problem is chronic. You need a large stopping range when using this car. Lexus claims I need to get use to it.

The contact owns a 2007 Lexus Es350. The contact was driving approximately 10 mph and the brake pedal was abnormally depressed into the floorboard when engaged and without response. The contact was able to stop the vehicle after several attempts. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the front and rear brakes were replaced. The failure continued after the repair so the vehicle was taken to a different independent mechanic for inspection where they stated that the master cylinder could possibly need replacing. The manufacturer was not made aware of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 41,985.

The contact owns a 2009 Lexus Es350. When the contact attempted to apply the brakes, he noticed that the brake pedal had fallen to the floor. The vehicle was taken to the dealership where the contact had the brake booster and master cylinder seals replaced. The contact noticed previously that the vehicle had traveled over a rough surface 2 to 3 minutes prior to the failure. The current mileage was 6000 and the failure mileage was 4000.
