Brakes Failed Problems of Lexus GX

This vehicles parking brake fails to hold the weight of the vehicle, unless the transmission is engaged in "p" (park). As a result, the weight of the vehicle rests on the transmission notch that is engaged with the park position of the transmission. If the vehicle is stopped and the parking brake is engaged, the vehicle will roll in the direction of the downhill. The parking or emergency brake does not hold the weight of the vehicle without the transmission!.

My wife drove into my garage and applied the brakes and the brakes failed and the dmage to the car was $10,200 and the garage wall was also damaged. The car was in the auto body shop for 3 weeks. Now the car is devalued to the carfax accident history.

After feeling that my brakes hadn't worked properly at a stop light (I almost skid through it), I was traveling about 35 mph around a curve and lightly pressed on the brakes to make sure I would slow down. Unbelievably, my brakes completely failed and I actually believe I sped up while at the same time my steering went out of control. I was unable to control or stop the car. After a few seconds I was able to pull off to the right and mud slowed me down enough to come to a stop. It was a truly petrifying experience and the tow truck driver confirmed that my brakes were completely non-functioning when he had to use the emergency brake to get my car on his truck. Lexus claimed that they could find nothing wrong with the car, however, which I find to be extremely disturbing. I pray that they do not attempt to resell or lease this car.
