Rear suspension arm broke a way from a frame section that appears rotted. No other rust on vehicle. This happened while driving on smooth road and made very difficult to control. Scared to think if this happened at highway speed. Again. . This is a clean. . No rust vehicle.

Frame is rotting from inside out, excessive corrosion on an otherwise spotless vehicle. This is a known issue that was common to the early/mid 2000's Toyota tundra, tacoma, and 4runner, the latter of which shares frame components. Toyota, for whatever reason, covered the tundra and tacoma through recalls, but so far has not done a recall on the 4runner or Gx470.
I have a 2004 Gx470 SUV. Today I was in a parking lot, trying to back out and leave. With one foot on the accelerator, I found it stuck, which was odd, as I had not experienced it before. So I pressed on it again, I thought, lightly. I was taken completely by surprise, as I seemed to have flown backwards, as I have a v8 engine, my acceleration was quick and my car immediately rammed into 2 parked cars behind me. I was in a state of shock and very scared, since it was so fast and sudden. Has anyone else experienced anything like this before? thank you.

The sunroof door is rusted all over the metal surrounding the glass on the inside of the vehicle. The roof of the car is ok but I fear the rust will eventually get there. My concern is that the sunroof door might get detached while driving and may cause a serious accident. I have spoke to the local Lexus dealer and they say there is no campaign or recall on the issue. My car is always in the garage while not in use and there is no leak on the door so I believe is a problem with the material used on this model. I have another Lexus a 2000 GS 400 and the sunroof door is in perfect condition. I have spoke to other GS 470 owner and they have the same problem. I will appreciate from you to investigate why is this happening with this model before there is an accident because of this problem. Thanks.
