1 Suspension problem of the 2020 Lexus IS300

Failure Date: 03/12/2023

The tires keep coming out of alignment which causes vehicle vibration, a pull to the left and premature wearing of the tires that then have to be replaced every 10-20k miles. Lexus is aware the is series cars wear tires this way but state its bc this is a high performance vehicle. The vehicle vibration and driveline issues can get bad enough that it could pull a vehicle into a different lane potentially causing an accident. Had it into the Lexus dealership 6+ times for this and after replacement of tires (on 2nd visit) to the recommended tires for my vehicle, it still keeps happening. Then I take it in again and again, technician still can't find an issue and then they just rebalance and align the tires again. Then it's out of alignment again within a week to week and a half. Found out not long ago that the original owner also reported this exact same issue at 5k miles. Manufacturer has not inspected it to my knowledge but tons of people in the clublexus. Com forum mention this same issue continuously.

2 Suspension problem of the 2019 Lexus IS300

Failure Date: 05/28/2020

I leased a new 2019 is 300 in Dec 2018 for my then 18yo daughter. Since the start of this contract, we have had the car serviced several times for multiple issues: the ac not working, then the "o" ring being crimped, something broken in the fuel pump (causing my 19yo daughter to be stuck on the side of the road) and now recalled, the brakes, the speakers, the sunroof not opening fully, the car jerks when going downhill, etc. We took the car in for scheduled service on 5/28/20, and when my daughter picked up her car on 5/30/20, then tire light was on. The service manager had air put in the tire and sent her on her way. When I arrived from California (where I live) on 6/1/20, the tire light was on again, so I took the car for service. Now, we are faced with improper wear to the inside of all 4 tires (the steel cords/belts are coming through the tires). The service manager, tom (at performance Lexus in mason, OH), told me yesterday, 6/4/20, this is how the suspension is made on this vehicle and the tires only last about 20,000 miles, now they are in dangerous condition, so I need to purchase a different brand (michelin) of new tires and do an alignment before it can be driven. I asked "if the tires are in such a dangerous condition, why would you allow my daughter to drive the vehicle off the lot, and if this is related to the suspension, how will purchasing new tires and doing an alignment resolve/prevent this issue from occurring in the future?" also, I found the service receipt under the floor mat, it was not given to my daughter. I am unable to upload the service receipt and video. This is the web address:https://96331. Iserviceauto. Com/2c5ef112fef7d5956ea2b11427b76465c68621c4.

3 Suspension problem of the 2017 Lexus IS300

Failure Date: 02/15/2019

Since the purchase of this vehicle on March 25, 2017, two alignments have been done to this vehicle. Was told by the service center that this kind of vehicle in this particular model needs alignments at 5k miles, that would be at least twice a year. I was not inform of this information. Had I known this requirement, I would not have purchase this vehicle. Also, according to the Lexus manual, if the steering wheel steer to the left and/or right it is not normal and recommend to get an alignment done. In my case, the steering wheel seems find but the vehicle actually makes loud noise, the sound like the airplane about to take off or about to land that how loud it was and that's when I took it to the Lexus service center to get it serviced. To my surprised that the inner rear tires were so thin comparing to middle and outer edges and that it requires all 4 tires to be replaced. Bear in mind that I only have this car for less then two years. No one seems to have an answer when asked. Got the exact same response that this type of car is a "high performance" vehicle therefore it will go through tires. I am so sorry to say, but I have own a bwm 325ci for 14 years I only need to replace all of my tires twice and alignments twice and currently still running perfectly fine.

5 Suspension problem of the 2002 Lexus IS300

Failure Date: 02/04/2010

I would like to report a problem with the Lexus Is300 models 2001-2005. There is some type of defect in the frame or front arm bushings that cause excessive wear on the front inner tires. Despite the car being regularly aligned, uneven and excessive tire wear continues to occur. Tires will sometimes last less than 8,000 miles and can wear down to the steel in the inner sides. This is a common occurrence and complaint among is 300 owners. As far as I know, there has been no fix from Lexus and can lead to potential blowouts on the freeway due to tire failures. . 6 Suspension problem of the 2002 Lexus IS300

Failure Date: 09/01/2004

Tire wear and alignment problems on 2002 Lexus Is300. The front end made a loud sound of rolling marbles. The dealer suggested that it was a normal sound and the fact that the brakes had settled the noise would be heard.

7 Suspension problem of the 2001 Lexus IS300

Failure Date: 08/01/2001

As the original owner of this make/model I have noticed that it goes through tires like not other call I have ever known. I am lucky to get 10-12k miles from a set of tires. In the time I have owned this vehicle I have had to purchase multiple tire sets as well as a lifetime alignment duet to the excessive wear on the tires, this wear is on the inner portion of the front tires. I have been told it is the camber portion of the suspension that causes this. I am a model driver who takes all precautions in the care of my vehicle. With this being said there are times that a new tire can go from good to totally bad in months. For example this past July 2011 I took my car in for tires and alignment by oct 2011 my front tires were worn out on the inside portion. Consumer can supply proof. I have seen blog post on the net with various other is 300 owners stating the same problems with the exact tire wear I am seeing. It is the safety factor that concerns me. I am constantly having to check before I get on a long trip is my tires have worn out for fear of having a high speed accident. Thank you in advance.
