Starting around 95k, the engine seems to be consuming massive quantities of engine oil. At 101. 5k, low engine oil light has come on after 1500 k miles after oil change with mobile 1 full synthetic oil. All online reviews show similar issues with other 06 Is350 models around 100k miles. Forums also state Lexus is aware of the problem and suggests a full engine rebuild. Seems like a faulty engine that Lexus does not want to fix and may cause engine seizure while driving.

In a traffic light about to make a left, when lights turned green it accelerated normally until speed was at 25-30mph its stopped there. Will only rev up to 2000 rpm would change gears but in its own desired time . Pulled over turn off the car turned it back on same happnd. Engine light went on and frm there it would run the same accelerate normally and remain in aflactuating speed of 2-30mph until now Lexus of las vegas will not aknowledge elf recall stating my car is not included in their list. Will not honor all paperwork from this website. Spoke to justin and I will now take my car home because they were insisting for me to pay to the amount of 2098 just for the high pressure pump excluding labor. Car performed well without any warnings other than the gas smell which at first we all just did not mind after checking if gas door is completely lock. Please help.

There are 2 recalls that I have been told by servco Lexus oahu have to be done at a dealership. The problem is I live on the big island of hawaii and there is not a dealership on this island so I was told I have to pay for the shipping of my vehicle to the the dealership on the other islands, either maui, or oahu. I have argued with them saying it is there responcibility to fix the car and I shouldn't have to pay anything for them fix their mess. I was told by an assistant manager at servco Lexus oahu, that if I read my owners manual I would have known this. Do you know of anyone who has read their owners manual front to back before they bought a car, new or used, what if someone buys a used car and there is not a manual in the car?he also told me that all automanufacturers state that in there mauals so I read my chevy truck and my corvette manual and it says "Chevrolet will repair all factory recalls within 30 days and if they cannot they will find a repair shop to do the work and worse case scenario they will send parts to the customer. " I read the manual from Lexus but couldn't find anything saying I am responsible for shipping costs for them to fix their mess, it might be in there but I couldn't find it. Anyways these recall are from 2010 and haven't been fixed, there is a recall on the interior door panels and dashboard I have been waiting on for 15 months, I was told that it should take 8-12 mo. , still waiting, I can't even sell the car without taking at least a$2000. 00 loss, if l would have known it was going to take this long and that I was going to get such a hassle and disrespect from the company of Lexus I would of never bought this from my friend in the first place. This is not how the american automanufacturers do business, I will never buy a japanese car ever again. If they can't conduct business like the big boys do then they shouldn't do any business.
On March 11,2014, I stopped my car at the stop light behind another car. My car's engine suddenly started rev up. I applied the brake as much as I can. Buy my car started to move and hit the back of the car stopped in front of my car. Sudden unintended acceleration.
The car like many push button start cars requires that you step on the brake pedal when starting, but the car will not start sometimes and/or requires a lot of force on the brake pedal to start the car which is apparently due to the brake booster going bad. This has been happening intermittently over the course of the year or about 9000 miles. I took the car to the Lexus dealer and told them what I thought was wrong because if you google "Lexus Is350 brake pedal hard" or "Lexus not starting" you will see that many people have this same exact problem with their Lexus, and not just with this Lexus model. The dealer confirmed the brake booster is the problem and that the cost to replace it would be approximately $1,100. 00. After contacting Lexus customer support and pointing out that a lot of Lexus owners seem to have the same problem, they said it is not under recall, and that I must pay for the cost of the repair. I can see situations where a car not starting could be considered a safety issue, but more upsetting is that there is clearly a defect that many Lexus owners are experiencing, Lexus probably knows it, but will not correct it or recall it.
My 2006 Lexus is 350 is using oil at an alarming rate. I bought the car new in 2006 and it gets it's regular oil changes, I have to add a quart of oil around around 600 milles driven. It currently has 189,000 miles, but this has been going on for some time. I looked up the information on the internet and it said to go to this website and report it.
The contact owns a 2008 Lexus Is350. While driving approximately 20 mph, the vehicle suddenly accelerated.
