general problems of the 2008 Lexus LS460

I put my 2 year old in the car seat, strapped her in, put my bag (with the key fob) on the backseat and after visually confirming that the drivers door is unlocked closed the back door with my child inside. In the time it took me to walk around the car to the driver's seat all four doors somehow locked down. With both the key fob and my child inside the car; in the middle of the summer in texas. Lexus is supposed to have a safe lock feature that prevents the car locking while keys are inside but this clearly failed. Luckily we were parked in a garage and my husband was able to come in 20 min with the spare key; otherwise tit would have been much worse.

Defective actuator and pump. This is a common problem with models ranging between 2007 and 2013. This is a problem known to Lexus and they were taking care of it as and when complaints were made. This is a safety issue and believe that Lexus should make a recall and remedy .

This automobile many inside plastic panels are melting liquefying and we are very concerned that are releasing toxic fumes. It is my wife's car and she has a lot of cough this year, contacted Lexus/Toyota and they say are not toxic, but we do not believe them, please find correspondence for the last several months. We ask you if you have a laboratory where this car can analyse the air interior, we found one but they want to charge $750 to do the test. Toyota the manufacturer of this Lexus has no credibility with us, they use plastic compounds in production without the minimum testing and this is the end result. After dropping the kids off this morning was driving home and all of the sudden I get the lights on the dash which alarmedme as there was loud beeps too. The first was brake malfunction, then check vsc system, then check brake system. The brakes got real soft and the car acted like it didnt want to stop.

This has happened over 5 times since owning the vehicle. After oil changes and off/on throughout owning the car it will have a hesitation on the acceleration. It will have high rpm's, but it is not going anywhere (loud engine noise). This is very dangerous if it decides to do this when passing someone on the highway and this morning it did it while pulling out into traffic and almost got hit as the vehicle did not move.

My car has a sticky dashboard and door panels as well as the black button that opens the trunk when the weather is hot or humid. Anything that is made of that material is sticky and gets this weird black stuff everywhere. The shiny reflective surface that the dashboard is a safety hazard for myself and other drivers. Every time I get in my car I cough, so I am afraid that harmful chemicals may be emitted. Please help investigate!.

Brake failure. Foot on brake entering garage, no response from the brake pedal, pedal began to sink to the floor and the traction/skid control light came on, as pedal went to the floor car jumped several 100 rpm's, pedal still to the floor did not stop until running into garage cabinets. No abs noise, no abs light, no feedback from brake pedal. Foot was never on gas pedal nor was ever removed from brake pedal.
