Tl the contact owns a 2010 Lexus Ls460. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, a brake failure warning message appeared on the instrument panel. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to wilkie Lexus (568 lancaster Ave, haverford, PA 19041) where it was diagnosed with the brake actuator needing to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and offered to cover 20% of the parts cost. The failure mileage was approximately 121,000.
I am experiencing an anti lock brakes actuator failure. Upon starting the vehicle it gives the warning "stop the vehicle and contact a dealer". The extended warranty is limited by mileage and years. Being a key safety component in vehicle operation, I am requesting this issue be converted into a recall.
I am experiencing an anti lock brakes actuator failure. Upon starting the vehicle it gives the warning "stop the vehicle and contact a dealer". I have did this and found that this is an issue that Toyota/Lexus is aware of as they have issued a service bulletin about it and offered an extended warranty. However, the extended warranty is limited by mileage and years. Being a key safety component in vehicle operation, I am requesting this issue be converted into a recall. I have tried to get repair assistance from Lexus customer support and they denied the request based on mileage.
