Rear liftgate closes in the winter time without warning. No problem in warm months. Had complained of this issue since I owned the car and was advised by Lexus dealer that this happens in the winter. For the most part I was able to catch it because it starts beeping now it just shuts and fell on me when I was loading groceries at the supermarket. The problem appears to be an issue with the struts because the same problem also happened with the hood when I was getting a jump when the car was parked in my driveway. Lexus offered to pay for the hood struts but not rear lift gate. The only time the hood is open is when it's at Lexus for service so that is no help to me. I no longer use my trunk in the winter. Lexus should make people aware of this issue. I don't have the date but Lexus should have it on file.
