1 Radiator problem of the 2004 Lexus RX330

Failure Date: 07/15/2019

Have had to replace radiator 3 times & will need a 4th at this time, since 2015, was bought used in 2014. !st replacement 2015 2nd) 2016, 3rd) 2017, and now needs again. Many websites state many different problems related to my vehicle, as well as others of a new year ie; 2005, 2006. Lexus claims VIN is the only source to verify if needs fixing stated to me, yet a websource clublexus. Com/forum shows a statement by Lexus stating the issue is not by VIN alone but by make model & year. A local radiator shop in western stated to me via phone that Lexus dealership service for a while in past had ordered many, many radiators because as it was stated some kind of electrical issue was causing the antifreeze to become acidic and destroying radiator from within. This is another not well known issue with this model that seems to have not been made public that I can find. My radiator mechanic that replaced mine 2 of the 3 times stated that the radiator was leaking could not find any other issues in 2015, & 2017. This implies that the issue stated from previous stated website isn't even the issue that I'm experiencing. My closest Lexus dealership is aware of the acidic problem based on statement given to me by the local radiator ship rep that I talked to.

I have 41k miles on my car. Anti freeze has been dripping from the right side of the radiator same as other people. In contacting Lexus, being that the warranty has expired, they will charge to evaluate the problem and the repair estimate is 1k. How does Lexus know that the residual parts from 2004-05, which has been recalled, was not used during the 2006 assembly?.

12 Radiator problem of the 2004 Lexus RX330

Failure Date: 04/10/2010

I bought my Lexus in 2007. It is a 2004 RX Lexus 330 it had 31,000 miles when bought. Since I had the car my radiator was broken and the Lexus dealership repaired it under warranty. Before this I remember stopping to the dealership because felt the car was stalling and was told that nothing wrong its just I have to be consistent the way I drive with speed. Now in 2010 I'm experiencing the same problem with the car stalling or lagging with the rpm and a little noise coming from the transmission. I really think they should recall this or do something about it because I read alot of reviews that this is happening and the car doesnt even have that many miles. I spent alot of money on this car and they should take this problems in consideration really.

14 Radiator problem of the 2005 Lexus RX330

Failure Date: 12/08/2006

I purchased a used 2005 RX 330 3 weeks ago (I also purchased what I was told was an extended road hazard coverage). I decided to take my daughter and granddaughter to disney world (a 200 mile trip this weekend. Just as we arrived in orlando my daughter said that she heard a pop (it was not loud as I did not even notice it)and we noticed steam coming from the engine. The SUV was towed into Lexus of orlando and although on vacation I was left without a car and still have none. To make matters worse, I was called by Lexus of orlando and told that I would have to pay $1000 to have my car repaired because allegedly the issue is damage to the a/c compressor caused by a 'road hazard'. The 'road hazard' was a piece of reflector used to separate the lanes. Lexus has refused ot repair under warranty even though I was sold a 3 month, 3,000 mile everything warranty (in addition to the Lexus certified warranty) and the everything warranty has no exclusions was to cover any damage. I spoke to a mechanic who told me that for a road reflector to cause this type of damage, there must be a design flaw in the protections afforded by the grill or otherwise to the a/c radiator area. In researching this issue I noted that others have file identical complaints, including on this site.
