One problem related to speed control cable has been reported for the 2007 Lexus RX350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Lexus Rx350 auto-acceleration. While pulling into a parking spot (at a slow speed) in a parking structure, the engine, without pressure on the gas pedal, suddenly reved up to high speed and accelerated into the wire retaining cabled and wall of the structure. The distanced traveled was less than 10 feet before the car was stopped by the retaining cables and the wall. The front end of the car and the structure were damaged. The impact was severe enough to break 5 of the 7 cables. The airbags did not deploy.
