I will give you a brief description as to what occurred. I entered our garage for the purpose of backing the Lexus out of the garage so we could load newly purchased patio furniture into the garage. I entered the Lexus, applied the brake peddle to start the automobile. Once the auto was started, keeping my foot on the brake to allow my shifting, I move the shift lever from park to reverse and to my surprise, the car began moving with never removing my foot from the brake. It is a very tight squeeze backing out of our garage so when the car started moving, I pressed more firmly on the brake to slow the progress and there was no response. I pressed on the brake harder and when it kept continuing to not respond, I tried to locate the emergency braking system by pushing with my left foot on the floor trying to engage it. The whole incident lasted only a couple of seconds causing the collision to occur. This was reported to hartford insurance company auto claim # pa0016731644 whose ultimate conclusion was as follows: "upon further investigation we determined. . . . The Toyota motor company to be the responsible party. " my last communication with Toyota motor north America was with carlos garcia in the legal claims department dated February 10th, 2017, copy attached also attached is my correspondence of may 11, 2016 the bottom line is Toyota has not conducted an in-depth investigation of a significant failure in the design/manufacture of their automobile. They are totally relying on hearsay evidence which is third hand and false, hoping this will all go away. I made my automobile available to them as well as myself and others who witnessed the event. This could have been a innocent child that was damaged, rather than another vehicle. I have significant additional information available for you, if requested. Thank you for your concern.

The car I bought back in 2014. I rarely drive. After carrying out many repairs from 2014 to 2017, the car will run in parallel and feel that it is impossible to control the steering wheel. There is also a problem with the suspension. In March 2017, a one-week overhaul will be carried out.

While being serviced for brakes for 3rd time , dealer noticed torn/leaking rt front boot. Appears to be a major problem with this car. $15 part, $475 labor. Fortunately this was covered due to 3rd party extended warranty but with the number of complaints and TSB's on this issue, the dealer should have covered. This negligence shouldnt happen on a premium brand, this will be our last Lexus.

I was driving south on georgia 400 merging onto 85 south when I saw cars stopped in front of me. I immediately applied me brakes - to no avail. My car kept going. I ran into the back of the car in front of me creating a four car wreck. I later learned from a market valuation report that: service brakes, hydraulic Toyota is recalling certain model year 2011 Lexus Rx350 passenger cars manufactured from August 30, 2010, through may 18, 2011, and equipped with vehicle dynamics integrated management (vdim). The calibration for the hydraulic control valves is incorrect. Due to this condition, there is a possibility that the right front wheel may not be controlled properly during abs (antilock brake system) or vsc (vehicle stability control) actuation. This could result in increased stopping distances and/or a failure to adequately correct a vehicle slide, which could increase the risk of a vehicle crash. Dealers will replace the brake actuator with a new one, free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin during August 2011. Owners may contact Toyota at 1-800-331-4331. Owners may contact Toyota at 1-800-331-4331. I was unaware of the recall, I never received notification. I took my car in for every scheduled maintenance. To the best of my knowledge, at this time, I was the only person injured in the crash. It appears that the problem was not corrected in my car; thus, I am filing a complaint.
I was driving in the passing lane at about 55 mph. The road was straight and level. The road was covered with a thin coating of slush. While driving the alarm signal began beeping. I took my foot off of the accelerator. The car then began drifting to the left, in the next few seconds the left wheels were 2 feet over the left lane. I tried to get the car back into the lane but the steering did not respond. A few seconds later the car began to drift to the right and rotate to the right. I then applied the brakes but they had little effect. Eventually the car slid off the road to the right stopping about 75 ft off the road, down a 20 foot slope. I believe that the stability control system failed to control the vehicle and did not provide adequate protection in this accident.
The contact owns a 2009 Lexus Rx350. The contact stated that while traveling various speeds, the vehicle failed to respond to deceleration attempts and caused the contact to crash into the preceding vehicle. There were no injuries. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic where the failure could not be diagnosed. The manufacturer was contacted about the failure. The failure mileage and VIN was not available.
After a routine oil change and maintenance service at 94,000 I was informed that the power steering rack and pinion needs replacement for a fee of $1854, plus brake pad and replacement and resurfacing of the rear rotors for $385. I found no evidence of oil leakage on the garage floor.
Upon entering a parking lot and turning slowly into a vacant spot the car accelerated really fast and wouldn't stop when brake pressed as the speed came to halt when crashing very hard into a brick wall. Both air bags on driver side deployed and were smoking really bad. The impact to my knees and face caused temporary numbness for which I couldn't feel my legs or move. The police & paramedics were called. The entire front end do my car was damaged. Recently purchased used in may 2013. It has been towed to repair shop for inspection upcoming Monday. I suspect it will be totaled and judging by the numerous complaints similar in nature, this probably should have been addressed and recalled prior to being sold.
Was driving in snow 10 mph when antilock brakes quit working. Lexus said it was the braker actuator assembly. ## VIN failed ##.

I was driving on I-59 north with wife as passenger with radar cruise control set at 70 mph approaching departure exit. I tapped the brake pedal to release the cc and it did not release. Thinking I had not tapped it hard enough, I made the turn and tapped the brake pedal harder. The cc did not release. I applied the brakes with full force. The engine raced to satisfy the cc and the speed was 69 mph going into the exit. My focus was steering the vehicle to avoid objects and traffic. We crashed across a four lane concrete curbed boulevard and into a chain-link fence. I steered down a frontage road and brought the vehicle to a stop. This was a 30 second + event. The black box captured 9. 5 seconds of information. Lexus downloaded the black box and I requested a copy of the information which they did furnish on a thumb drive. They immediately erased all evidence of the crash from the vehicle data recorder and proclaimed there were no problems with the vehicle. The thumb drive data clearly displays that the car was traveling 69 mph on the data recorder. It also shows that the cc dropped out during the crash. I received a letter from Toyota legal in torrance, CA, indicating that their review of the vehicle found nothing wrong with it and the case was closed. The body shop repairs were $16k plus the depreciated value of the vehicle is $11k. Nalley Lexus galleria, smyrna, GA, where the vehicle was purchased, defers all communications to Toyota. I have been a Toyota customer since 1990 and this has been my third Lexus RX. Bitter sweet end! mb.
I was driving a Lexus Rx350 that we purchased used in 2011. I was pulling into a parking space in front of a local business. When I put my foot on the brake nothing happened and the vehicle sped up and ran into an office in the building where a lady was sitting at a desk. My car came to rest against her desk. I lost consciousness for a moment due to fright I think. Therefore, an ambulance was called and I was taken to a local hospital where I had to have numerous xrays. Thank goodness I had only some stiffness in my neck and some soreness. . . . The same for the lady in the office. I could have killed her or anyone in the vicinity of the office. My car was totaled by the insurance company. This was one of the most frightening experiences I have ever had.
Turned into parking space. Car began accelerating on its own. I applied the brakes continuously, threw the car into park to no avail. The car jolted forward, crashing into the storefront, breaking glass windows. The (approx) 2 feet of block wall stopped the car. The vehicle was not in my control in spite of all effort to bring the car to a stop. Had someone been walking on the sidewalk in front of the store (salon), I would have been powerless to keep from injuring or killing them. This was not driver error. I was fully "in the moment," and aware of what was happening.
2009 Lexus RX 350. Consumer states problems with vehicle brakes the consumer stated the brakes would vibrate when he/she reached a high speed. The vehicle was taken taken to the dealer and fixed free of charge. However, 5,000 miles later the problem returned.
Had to replace the brake fluid in the vehicle at 30000 miles. Lexus requires this supposedly to maintain the integrity of the braking system and provide a safe vehicle. I feel this is a safety defect in the design. Any vehicle' shouldbe robust enough to last much longer than this without this level of service being required by the manufacturer. If the vehicle does really need this, than Lexus should cover it under warranty. Brakes also required disassembly and cleaning at 15000 miles at customers expense.
I went out to grab a bite to eat for my daughter and I came to a stop light at a major intersection. I received the turn arrow so I accelerated thru the turn and then punched the gas to make it thru the next light that will turn red if you don't give it a little gas to get thru it. I make it thru the light and get in the right lane to slow down to make my turn and my brakes don't work and my car starts accelerating on its own. I have no control of the speed so I throw the car in neutral and keep slamming the brakes while the brake malfunction light appears. I’m not sure how my car slows down and I make a right turn into a parking lot and my engine is still sounding like it is accelerating and I am in neutral. My car rolled to a stop, I shut it down and called the Lexus line. The had a towing company out within an hour and the tow truck driver told me this is at least the 10th time he has hauled this type of car for the same thing.

I own a 2009 Lexus RX 350. When I am driving on a bumpy road and apply the brakes the car will not stop. They act like you are going into a skid. Shortly after purchasing the car I reported the problem to Lexus. They keep assuring me that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. I have been lucky enough to avoid several near serious accidents . I have had to jump curbs on several occasions. I have rolled into the middle of intersections with cars coming at me in all directions.

I have a new 2010 Lexus RX 350 keep stalling while I was waiting for traffic light, problem stated soon after I started driving , while mileage was around 1500, when the car stalled abs (anti brake system) sign showed up. I took the cars several times back to Lexus, they used their computer to check computer records of my cars and claimed nothing wrong with the car, until the third time I went back , the brake malfunction warning sign showed up while Lexus's technician was inside the car with me, then they kept the car 10 days and repaired the problem, but still claimed nothing else is wrong with the car, cannot explain why the car stalled, they claimed computer of my car didn't record any stalled history therefore no proof car stalling problem. I told them the computer of my car is so defect that they didn't find brake malfunction problem until the sign showed up in dashboard, why are they still rely on the computer? they kept the car for 10 days to repair a brake, how come it takes 10 days? I believe they found out that the car has more than brake problems, and they know all the Lexus car has potential pending problem, either electronically or computer that control the electronic , imagine if my car stalled while I was driving on the high way, for the safety of all the cars on the street, your division should look into the problem of not only Toyota but also Lexus and other cars made by Toyota motor inc.
### I had originally ignored this incident as reported by my wife but with the Toyota problems it may be useful in your Toyota investigations. ### my wife was coming to a stop at a light (5 mph) and hit a significant bump and immediately all braking was gone for about 5 to 10 feet and then returned. It would have been an accident except the car in front moved. This has occured only once . . . She is a conservative driver and drives almost always on paved city streets . . . The bump was in a construction area.
