Lexus Rx400h owners have reported 2 problems related to cruise control (under the vehicle speed control category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
A few years ago there were 2 episodes of spontaneous acceleration while traveling about 35 mph on a straight road without cruise control and without any foot on the gas pedal. This stopped when brake pedal was depressed. No similar problem since then until 4-6 weeks ago when 4 exactly similar episodes occurred, the latest happening today. Thankfully there was no car in front of my wife or there would have been a bad crash. Lexus of seattle dealership notified about 2 weeks ago during routine service visit, and again today. My wife is taking it back again tomorrow, but since the problem is intermittent they once again likely will not be able to repeat the event or to solve it. Help!!!.
