I purchased this vehicle less than 30 days. It had 29,257 miles. From day one, the vehicle came with no heating. When you push for heat, the cold ac blows. The part is in national back order. Secondly, when driving car at 20- 45 miles there is vibration, like a window is down when on a highway, but I'm driving in my neighborhood with all windows up. The vibration is unbearable. Thirdly and most importantly, when I slow to break, the car revs up, as if it won't stop. This is very unsettling. I'm never at ease because of this. This is a newer vehicle. There's a Toyota camry 2011 and a Mitsubishi outlander 2018 outperforming my newer Lincoln Mkc 2019. I'm now afraid to drive the Mkc because of the safety concerns. I just bought the car in October 5, 2022. I've reported this to corporate Lincoln. I don't understand why there hasn't been a recall. I do notice a flood of these vehicles in the market for sale. I'm afraid to drive this vehicle.

The contact owns a 2015 Lincoln Mkc. The contact stated that while she was unlocking the door, she noticed that the black plastic covering over the keyless entry pad located on the door frame was cracked. The contact stated that the keyless entry pad location on the passenger side had also begun to crack. The contact stated that the crack lines had spread and had the appearance of a spider web on both keypads. The contact was concerned that water could leak into the keypad and short circuit the pad. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the keypad panels needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 61,000.
Had one headlight issue for months that I knew about. Told bcm issue but the bcm for this vehicle has been discontinued. Was pulled over by the police only to be told the taillights are out. Took it back in and was told electrical issue that the dealer needed to address. Already knew it was the same issue, the bcm. Unfortunately, I have to get rid of this car, and it is still being sold. This car should be labeled a lemon as you will not pass an inspection once this happens and the part needed is no longer available, or repairable.
Our car is in excellent running and cosmetic condition. It has been well maintained and garaged and never in an accident. Recently my wife was driving and was getting angry gestures, honking, and yells from other cars. She discovered that her breaklights and blinkers were not functioning. It is an intermittent problem. It took the Ford dealer multiple days to be able to recreate the problem. They state that the bcm needs to be replaced, but that it is a discontinued part that they cannot fix. It was discontinued in 2016. They also said they have at least one other car at their dealership with the same issue. I don't understand how they can just wash their hands of a safety issue for a car that is less than 7 years old.
First incident: my daughter was in the vehicle in our driveway in March 2022 and was leaving. She came running inside and told me she hit the start button and that the vehicle did not start, but started to roll down the driveway with the steering wheel locked in position. She was stepping on the brakes and the vehicle continued to roll out into the street until it finally stopped when it hit the curb across the street. She stated the brakes did not work. She hit the start button again and the vehicle started and she drove it back into our driveway to tell me about the incident and the loss of brakes and steering. Second incident: 5/9/22, my daughter was parked at the gas station with 2 friends. After putting gas in the car, she hit the start button and the car did not start, but instead started rolling forward with the steering wheel locked and no brakes. She kept pumping the brakes and nothing would stop the car. She started hitting buttons on the dashboard in an attempt to get the vehicle to stop, but it ran into the yellow bollard at the gas station and scraped the entire passenger side of the vehicle. She pressed the start button and held it down for several seconds before that made the vehicle finally stop. Her two friends corroborated that the vehicle would not stop even though she was frantically pressing the brakes. We now have approximately $4,000 worth of damage down the passenger side of the vehicle. My daughter is afraid to drive the vehicle anymore as this is the second time the vehicle failed to start, started moving, the steering wheel was locked, and the brakes did not work to stop the vehicle.

Have to jump car if sits over 3 days. Then cruise control, no signal lights and menu instrument panel stays on trac. . Mode bought vehicle in may 2021 this has happened 4 times and 2 new batteries later.
Now on my 3rd battery in 3 months. A section in front of the battery gets very hot. It's a section with a lot of thick wires coming together. Most of the time my car will not start, I just have to keep moving wires until I get a connected for the car to start. I expecting the car to start a fire or a battery explosion pretty soon. L researched 2017 Lincoln Mkc's and it seems this is a car with a lot of electrical problems. There needs to be some type of recall to redo the battery connections before someone gets hurt. I will print this notice in case of a battery or electrical issue arrives in a casualty so I can sue that this has been reported. Thanks.
At approximately 64,000 miles my engine light came on and I took it to a shop. Cylinder 2 was misfiring so we changed the spark plugs and coils. At 67,000 miles light came on again with same issue and while having my oil changed they noted it was unusually dirty. I changed out plugs and coils again. At 72,000 miles light came on again and I took it to a different shop and learned I had a crack engine block, a problem with these vehicles with eco boost. I was told I needed a new engine and the only thing I could do was add sealant to buy time. I took it to Lincoln to trade and they refused because of the issue and told me to reset the light and sell to carmax. I couldn’t do that, it was wrong. I sold it for $1,000 to Nissan because I could no longer afford to be driving my grandson in this unsafe car. Also had a lot of issues with electrical starting from purchase with battery dying and lift gate not working. When I got rid of it the windshield wipers wouldn’t work and radio made aweful static sounds. Horrible car from day 1 purchased brand new.
Dearnhtsa, my rear camera is not working properly on my 2017 Lincoln Mkc. I reported this incident to you earlier this month. As of yesterday Wednesday may 28, 2025 wxyz news in detroit, stated a recall on rear view cameras. I truly hope my car will be included in the recall. Thank you very much!.
Vehicle won't start due to discharged battery.
Vehicle shut down completely while driving on the highway. The error message "the vehicle has shut down" appearedin on the dashboard. Had there been a transport trailer behind us, we could have been killed. Ford customer service is doing nothing for us. Very disappointing as my mother now has to drive a vehicle that she is afraid to drive. This car is unsafe!.
I am driving in the car and the car is turned off, the car is sometimes driving and the car stops and the car is slowed down, the transmission is the fifth time I take it to the dealer and it returns to the dame problemi am afraid of crashing because the car stop without wanting.
On 5/18/19, car was sitting outside all day. The temperature reached95 degrees that day. That night as I was leaving, I decided to open the sunroof and when I hit the button, the panel would only open 1/2 inch. I thought something was blocking it so I closed it back. When I did that, the inside sunroof panel material started wrinkling up. I proceeded to open again and the same thing happened. I left it alone until the next day. I tried opening it again and the next time I heard something snapped. As I was investigating the inside panel, it had ripped. It looked as though the sun had melting the plastic and as it cooled, when the sunroof opened, it ripped the inside panel cover. Now, this have to be replaced. There need to be better another type of material that's not affected by the sun and also a better tint to protect the glass from getting to hot and causing trapped heat to melt plastic and/or adhesive to come apart. This is a hazard if the sunroof can't open if fire, crash, or smoke is trapped inside the vehicle. I have a infant and two dogs that ride in this vehicle.
This has happened 2xs within the last 4 weeks. Car only has 49,000 miles. Car starts to shake when driving speed of 50 mileshr appox. Then car shuts off, no brakes, and cannot steering. Drifted to the side of the road. Tried to start. . It did start up again aftr 5 minutes. Had it into 2 dealers(Lincoln) and could not find a problem, no computer errors about what had happened. Now car has been in another dealer garage for 8 days. Cannot find the problem. Afraid to drive on the highways. Need this addressed before someone gets killed. Need help with this!!.
Since I purchased this vehicle in September of 2018 it has been towed to the dealer twice and I have driven to the dealer 3 times. The battery continues to go dead after I park and lock the vehicle in my garage. I have went into the garage and the vehicle lights would come on without the key fob. I have had the battery replaced and it continues to happen. My car is at the dealer as I write this complaint. Lincoln stated that: they checked for lights coming on could not verify at this time check oasis and no symptom for concern let sit over weekend and still no light confirmation. No problem found at this time3/5/2019. 3/17/2019 vehicle right back at the dealer same problem.
The vehicle was recalled. I took the vehicle to the dealer where it was purchased. It was serviced. The engine issue was addressed, so we thought. The repair/replacement parts did not remedy the issue, despite it being in the shop for over 6 months. The problem persists. It is overheating in a 5 minute drive. The local service department is saying there is no other remedy. They keep asking we bring it in for another diagnosis, but the problem is the same as the 47,000 other vehicles that have been recalled by this same issue. We purchased the car and have not been able to use it.
I started the vehicle, the sync system went through a restart, killing the engine and turning off the dashboard panels. It had happened before on a level surface, but this time I was on a 10-15% grade. I stopped again, turned the vehicle off and returned about 15 minutes later. I was on a slight hill, with the elevation lower in front of the vehicle. I started the car and stepped completely out within 10-15 seconds. I stepped outside the vehicle, which had been running for 10-15 seconds. The hatch was open and two friends behind could clearly see through the vehicle, to know that I didn't touch the push button transmission. The vehicle started rolling down the hill. I jumped in, but the brakes didn't work and the instrument panel was dark. It stopped rolling when it collided against a parked truck approximately 50 feet in front. The engine was off when it stopped. I think the recycle of the sync system caused an intermittent malfunction of the electrical system, causing the brakes, steering and pushbutton transmission to become non-operable. This resulted in damage of $8568 to my Mkc and of $1512 to the parked truck. Since this is an intermittent incident, it can't be replicated at a dealer even if it happened, it would be on a level surface and would not roll. I have driven the vehicle for an additional 7 months and 8,819 miles. The current mileage is 27,474. During that time, the vehicle has started and then gone through an electrical recycle which caused the engine to turn off at least 5 times. Two of those times were on a flat surface. I ran over a cooncrete curb a month ago. Tonight it happened in my driveway & ran up onto my front porch, which has a step up of about 6 inches. I called Lincoln concierge to report the 2nd incident. They told me that they could do nothing until the problem was recreated in a garage - or it kills or injures someone.
The manual lift gate will not always open. When in drive or in park while turned off, there is a sound coming from the lift gate like it is trying to function.
The windshield wipers on the Lincoln Mkc malfunction in the rain. I experienced several instances where, under flood advisory conditions, the windshield wipers did not work. I turned the car on and off several times. I change the wiper automation settings several times and still the wipers would not work. I believe this is a very hazardous issue for anyone driving a 2017 Lincoln Mkc and do not believe it should be taken lightly under any circumstances when lives are at hand. In the above set instance I was driving during the day with rain sleet and snow under flood advisory conditions.
Usb charging and snyc connection station at the bottom of console caught fire and within a couple of minutes the inside of the vehicle was engulfed in flames. Barely escaped with my life.
Tl-the contact owns a 2015 Lincoln Mkc. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the check engine warning light illuminated and the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to great lakes Ford of muskegon located at 2469 e apple Ave, muskegon, mi 49442, (231) 777-2750, to be diagnosed. The mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code or duplicate the failure. The O2 (oxygen) sensor was replaced however, the failure recurred. Several other dealers were contacted and the vehicle diagnosed, but were also unable to correctly diagnose the cause of the failures. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 15v006000 (electrical system) or 15v005000 (fuel system, gasoline). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000. Ah.
Batter lost its charge (4 times).
While driving at 5mph, the ignition button was accidentally pushed in. When this happened, the engine immediately turned off, the vehicle rolled for a second and then the car came to a hault as if I slammed on the breaks. The ignition button is located next to the computer screen and the passenger had accidentally pushed it in when he was changing the radio station on the computer screen.
