1 Other Fuel System problem of the 2015 Lincoln MKS

Failure Date: 01/01/2025

The front sensor to bumper coming up to check ok at every time you start the vehicle. In-between 30mph to 50mph it hesitates and feels like it's jumping in and out, if you do a hard acceleration you don't feel it, not sure if it's through the fuel system for the transmission. Check to see if codes were coming up with the machine and the vehicle shows no codes, with heartbreaking the front will shimmy.

2 Other Fuel System problem of the 2014 Lincoln MKS

Failure Date: 06/28/2024

Vehicle turned off while driving. Luckily, I was driving in a parking lot when it happened, therefore, I was not at a high volume of speed. The issue has been confirmed by a dealer. No inspection by manufacturer or others has been conducted. No warning lamps or other messages were noted prior to failure. Issues have been ongoing for about 2 months now.

3 Other Fuel System problem of the 2011 Lincoln MKS

Failure Date: 01/01/2022

Engine/coolant reservoir, yes you can inspect it. When driving, or stop at a traffic light or just parked, the car will just start smoking and getting hot, the temperature gauge would not show it was getting hot until after it started smoking. The car would stop in the middle of the street or on the freeway. All the antifreeze would leak out of the reservoir and be all over the engine and the ground, when you put antifreeze in the reservoir the next day, you can drive for a little distant, but it will start doing the same thing all over again. The cooling fan would come on and never goes off, it gets louder and louder, it has never done this before. I have taken my car to the dealer 3 times and they charged me over $4. 000 and still couldn't fix it. They told me that they do not know what's wrong with it. The engine cooling system / reservoir should be recalled.

5 Other Fuel System problem of the 2013 Lincoln MKS

Failure Date: 10/16/2020

My 2013 Mks is stalling whiling driving numerous times, almost caused an accident a few days ago. There is a recall on 2013 Mks fuel module because it cuts out while driving. However, after calling Lincoln I am told that my Lincoln Mks 2013 is not on the recall list. Lincoln refuses to acknowledge that my 2013 Mks is experiencing the same issue where engine stall while driving. Because my VIN number is not on the recall list. I originally took the car or my mechanic because I needed it looked at right away as it's extremely unsafe. My mechanic alerted me to the recall. I don't understand how Lincoln thinks my car does not apply to recall.

6 Other Fuel System problem of the 2015 Lincoln MKS

Failure Date: 04/11/2020

At times, while driving, my engine will stall and slow down regardless if I'm still pressing the gas pedal. I generally shut the engine down and wait like thirty seconds and restart. It is usually ok then until the next episode. I included the last date it happened. It has been doing it over my years of ownership.

7 Other Fuel System problem of the 2013 Lincoln MKS

Failure Date: 09/14/2019

For some 4 years now our car has gone into a limp mode while being driven at highway speeds, over bridges, and along dark roadways. The check engine wrench lights up when the car goes into this mode. Unannounced, the sudden and immediate slowing of the car leaves it unsafe to driver, passengers, and others on the road who find themselves behind a fast moving car that suddenly and without notice drastically slows down on its own. It is an uncontrollable unsafe and hazardous creeping condition. The car restarts and drives after being placed in park and shut down. The car then drives normally until the next limp situation. Once the car is turned off and restarted however the check engine wrench clears from display screen, and the code itself clears from the pcm. This has made the intermittent events impossible to catch upon being diagnosed by the dealer. We finally had to drive with our code diagnostic device to try and catch the problem as and when it suddenly arose in traffic. Last week the problem occurred again. We were able to get to the side of the highway and plug in the diagnostic device and pull a single code; dtc p2111. Upon researching the code we found that this unsafe problem as been known to Ford for sometime, but we were not in that group of owners who were sent letters explaining the extended warranty program put into place to correct this situation. That customer satisfaction program, 13n03, extended the warranty period to 10 yrs from in-service and 1500 miles. Our vehicle, a 2013 Lincoln Mks with 110800 mis. , is clearly is being affected by the throttle stuck open/closed defect (p2111), and, clearly falls within the extended warranty coverage period. We have tried to get Ford to handle our p2111 code problem as it has corrected others it acknowledged and repaired, but Ford declined. Ford told us that since NHTSA had not assigned coverage to our VIN#, so it cannot come under the program. We are asking that our car be placed in the program and repaired.

10 Other Fuel System problem of the 2011 Lincoln MKS

Failure Date: 03/31/2018

Engine began to run rough and misfire while trying to accelerate on the interstate, followed by a complete loss of power and violent shuddering. Big concern when trying to pass other vehicles, as I was almost rear ended by a tractor trailer. Problem becomes worse and more frequent when trying to accelerate up hills. Found out this problem is addressed in Ford TSB 11-08-19, most likely caused by powertrain control module losing calibration. This information was made known to service workers, but not car owners. Problem eventually resulted in the burning out of the car's bank 2 catalytic converter, sparks plugs, and ignition coils.

15 Other Fuel System problem of the 2009 Lincoln MKS

Failure Date: 12/20/2015

A/c condenser and transmission unit. A freon leak in this unit can dump freon gas and compressor oil into the transmission which can cause trans problems or transmission fluid can leak into the a/c system and ruin all components in the system. This can be a very expensive repair or the car is junk. Trans cooler should be a separate unit to prevent this problem.

16 Other Fuel System problem of the 2010 Lincoln MKS

Failure Date: 05/08/2014

We had a 2009 msk which excelerated by it self on April 21, 2014 and caused my wife to hit a tree and spend three days in the hospital and also totaled out our car. Not knowing that there was a problem with the car, we brought a 2010 Mks on may 7, 2010 and on may 8, 2014 when my wife pulled into our driveway, that car also had an unintended acceleration aposide causing it to surge at a high speed running through our garage door and the corner of our house. I then looked on the internet and discovered that there were several class action law suits in about 14 states dealing with the same problem, of unintended acceleration dealing with the electronic throttles causing this dangerous situation. To our surprise both of the cars we brought the 2009 and 2010 Mks was on this list for this scary and frightening problem. Now how you we get this defect corrected, so we can drive the car safely? is there an TSB repair bulletin sent to the dealers for this repair? please someone help. Thanks.
