2 Power Steering Failed problem of the 2010 Lincoln MKS

Failure Date: 03/23/2021

I started my car and the error "power steering failure" came on, I was completely unable to turn the steering wheel. I turned the vehicle off and back on and it happened again. There was no warning and I can't turn it at all. I can't imagine what would have happened if I were driving it! this is a known issue and if the 2011's were recalled, and it is happening to this many people with a 2010, maybe they should do a recall on it as well!.

3 Power Steering Failed problem of the 2010 Lincoln MKS

Failure Date: 01/23/2020

The electrical power assisted steering failed again without warning. When this unit ceases operation, it also affects the vehicle power train by shutting down the traction control and the anti lock braking, it seems. When the electrical assist stop working, the vehicle is extremely difficult to control as it takes all the effort a person can muster to turn the steering wheel. This is a very bad steering system.

5 Power Steering Failed problem of the 2013 Lincoln MKS

Failure Date: 04/12/2018

I was driving on the highway and the power steering totally failed! I had to quickly get to an exit and have my vehicle towed on the back of a flatbed. I checked the recalls on my vehicle and there is an outstanding electronic steering recall, but supposedly there is some way that Lincoln/Ford connects the VIN to the recall and said that my vehicle was not covered. I don't believe it. My vehicle is undriveable. I need to find out how this could happen and how I can have the vehicle covered under the recall of the other models that are included in the recall of the 2013 Lincoln Mks!!!!.

6 Power Steering Failed problem of the 2010 Lincoln MKS

Failure Date: 04/18/2016

The power steering intermittently fails upon starting the vehicle, or twice while driving. Both times driving, I was traveling about 40 mph on a rural street, and was able to pull directly into a parking lot that was parallel to the road which required little steering. If you shut the vehicle off, and restart the car, it usually resets itself. Please be advised that when the power assist stops working, it takes extreme strength to maneuver the vehicle. I have a 1965 mustang without power steering. There is no comparison between both vehicles, the Lincoln does not steer without pulling with both hands in one direction on the steering wheel.
