1 Brakes Failed problem

Failure Date: 05/06/2021

Vehicle has less that 50k miles and rarely driven. Three different instances of the brakes failing with the pedal being pushed going all the way to the floor was diagnosed to be an issue with a recall for the brake booster (recalll 13n02). Symptoms of "spongy brakes" always present. Other brake components were checked and verified to be operational. Dealer indicated this is not a safety issue and will not be fixed because the extended warranty had expired. Yet I have a dangerous vehicle that I am expected to pay for a manufacturing defect.

2 Brakes Failed problem

Failure Date: 08/23/2019

The brake booster was replaced on my 2011 Lincoln Mkx due to a recall due to brake failure. It was replaced approximately 1,000 miles ago and now it has failed again and nearly caused a serious accident. . This incident was on the 23rd of August 2019. This manufacturer used faulty brake boosters from the beginning. This car only has 53,578 current miles. This automobile is a danger not only to the owner but also to the general public if not corrected by the Ford Lincoln motor company. . History: Lincoln Mkx and Ford edge vehicles are experiencing more serious problems than necessary. . I have been waiting patiently for another reply from the local dealership concerning this unsafe & major problem with my 2011 Lincoln Mkx. My wife & I were on our way home on the highway approaching a red light. When I pushed the brake pedal to stop the brake pedal went all the way to the floor and nearly caused a serious accident. I made it home and parked the vehicle under the carport and it has not been driven since. I have . Started it and rechecked it and the pedal still goes all the way to the floor. . . This car has been a lemon automobile as far as the brakes and brake booster are concerned. I feel that Ford Lincoln motor company should be responsible for this problem and should have the brake problem fixed on a permanent basis and not on a temporary basis!!! unsatisfied customer/owner of my 2011 Lincoln Mkx. If this problem is not corrected by the Ford Lincoln company I will have no other alternative except to contact an attorney.

3 Brakes Failed problem

Failure Date: 11/05/2018

Power boost on brakes fails intermittently. When the power boost goes out, the car either fails to stop, or if already stopped, then jumps forward until the driver stomps the brake to the floor to stop. It's extremely dangerous.

4 Brakes Failed problem

Failure Date: 11/03/2018

The brake booster failed on my vehicle and was just replaced by the dealership for nearly $900 dollars. This is the 2nd major safety issue I have had with this vehicle because the throttle body had an issue that caused the vehicle to completely shut down while driving with no warning. That was replaced at no cost but I had to do my own research for the repair and that issue could have caused an accident with injuries or death. Because Lincoln determined that my particular VIN is not eligible then the cost is on me, again a major safety issue that could have caused injury and death when the brakes barely stopped. I know I cannot recover money for own repair but I feel Ford/Lincoln should not be able to get away with making their own determinations of what vehicles should be covered when they are at fault for building a poor. Substandard product. I do not want other owners to be railroaded by this policy.
