11. 30. 2021 reversed out of driveway, shifted into 'drive'. Stop sign at intersection and turned left onto street. The transmission lugged, not in gear, the rpms ran high (on display) and then re-engaged and into forward motion. No warning lights or sounds. Clear day, 60d, fortunately no traffic.

The ptu (power transfer unit) is causing engine light to flash and loss of power when accelerating. Transmission sputters and seems to buck as if not finding the gear (almost always around 2nd gear).

2013 Mkx does not recognize when gear shifter has been moved to "park". Error message light "shift to park" comes on. P light is not illuminated. Driver has to repeatedly shift from park to another gear (neutral, drive, park, reverse) and back to park until p is illuminated and recognized to be in park. Vehicle is stationary when this occurs. This began in early 6/2018 and occurred intermittently until a new gearshift switch fp #gt4z-3f988-b was installed on 6/22. This error has been frequently reported in multiple Lincoln and other forums.
