The alarm goes off if you lock the vehicle when you are in it with the key. For example, if you are waiting for someone and you lock the door. This causes the alarm to go off, thus drawing attention to you in the vehicle. This leaves you in a very vulnerable position. You are in a very expensive vehicle with the doors unlocked and/or the alarm going off. I spoke to Ford and they are refusing to fix it.

I own a 2018 Lincoln Navigator, 3 months after purchasing the ac stopped working. I brought it in to the dealer and was told that Lincoln had a dried of vehicles which had the wrong refrigerant put in from the factory. Today is the 22nd straight day without my truck because there are supposedly no parts available to fix it. $83,000 SUV!! I even had to hire a lawyer to send them a letter trying to get info on when I am getting my vehicle back. They won't wven answer a lawyer.
While driving on a busy road the vehicle lost all power. There were 3 children in car seats at the time. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic test and repair. A few days later the vehicle lost power again, while driving on a very busy road. This was a very dangerous situation. It was returned to dealer, this time they replaced the throttle body. This happened on may 10th, and may 22nd, 2018. Also side monitor stopped working.

Faulty transmission gear. This may be an older model, but with 156,000 miles, the gearshift either prevents the truck from starting, or will start rolling on its after putting truck in park and removng key. I almost lost my truck from that after I got out of the vehicle and it started rolling away. Despite its age, this problem just started.

My suspension has airbags that do not work properly. I know other Navigator owners that have the same problem. I have had it looked at and worked on but nothing changes. Problem somewhere in the system. The airbags do not raise the car and it bounces around while driving. The car is hard to control.

Running board on driver side does not retract after closing the doors. It remains deployed. Have to use my foot to assist it to close. . . . . Often. Tried using wd-40 to lubricate the hinges but this only serves as a temporary fix. Issues returns shortly thereafter.

My driver side door latch is broken. . . . . I cant get out of my car. . . And cant really figure out how to fix.
Broken spark plugs.
The vehicle randomly gets stuck in park and is unable to shift into gear when the vehicle is stationary. I read something about the break switch recall but after calling Ford they told me the recall was VIN specific and my vehicle wasn't a part of it. Makes no sense to me if my vehicle is doing exactly what the recall entailed.

The motor running boards, the aluminum piece that suppose to hold the running boards to the vehicle, broke off without any warning. How does this happen? I am driving, stop at the light and make a left turn, and all of a sudden I hear these sound like my running board are sliding out. I pull over and the entire running board is hanging out completely away for the vehicle. Luckily there was no other cars beside me. I had to push it back in and drove very slowly so it would not fall back out and hit another car. This is dangerous and could have cause a serious car accident. The running board needs to be checked on all 2006 Lincoln Navigators as soon as possible.

Since purchase of car I have feeling nauseous, tired, headaches, and on some occasions dizziness always when I'm in car and the car is on. Also my daughter always throws up when she is in car longer than 15 mins.
Driver's side retractable running boards keeps getting stuck in open position and keeps trying to retract while driving, after research found out running boards have been malfunctioning on Navigators since early 2000. Ford Mercury will not recall even though they know its a vehicle defect. Drivers seat and steering wheel will not stay where its set will reset it self sometimes while driving.
On Friday, August 29, 2014 at 1200 hours, I parked my vehicle in a mcdonald's parking lot. I backed into a space (the driveway was slanted down to the middle of the parking lot), moved the gear shifter to park, got out of the vehicle. I walked in front of the vehicle, stopped to watch traffic for a clearing to cross the parking lot, and the vehicle bumped me from behind. It was slowly moving towards the center of the parking lot. I jumped back in the vehicle and applied the brake to stop its forward motion. I checked the gear shifter which indicated that it was in park. But, I was able to move the gear shifter out of park, place it in reverse and back the vehicle in the parking space, and again placed the gear shifter in park. Again the vehicle started drifting forward. I tried several more times to place the gear shifter in park. Finally, it seemed to hold. I went in to eat my lunch and returned to my vehicle. The gear shifter would not come out of park. After several tries, it finally did. I drove the vehicle straight home. I placed the gear shifter in park numerous times before it would hold and the vehicle stopped moving. Each time the gear shifter indicated that it was in park. I applied the emergency brake and contacted the Ford dealership, alan jay Ford, 3201 us hwy 27 sebring, FL 33870, 888-448-1737, and spoke to larry in the service department. Since it was the labor day weekend, the first available appointment is next Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 0800 hours. I hope to be able to get the gear shifter out of park and into drive Tuesday morning for this appointment. This is a safety hazard. The gear shifter shows itself in the park position but is intermittently not holding. The vehicle moves on its own as it did in the mcdonald's parking lot, bumping up against my back. Fortunately, it was slow moving this time.
Second time the spark plug blew out of the triton 54 head. . Trained tec performed it the first time sert install and worked fine. He didn't touch the factory plugs on the other cylinders. But those blew out this is a Ford design error and flaw but they refuse to acknowledge it. Instead they rather blame the techs and the customer.
Vehicle was parked and turned off when it suddenly exploded.

For the past 6-8 months my vehicle has sporadically stalled/stopped for no apparent reason. When it stops like this it can occur on the highway or surface streets without notice. I have taken it to the Lincoln dealer two times with the last time being told it was a transmission problem, which I was skeptical, because of no previous problems. I have requested assistance from Ford motor who essentially dismissed without any liability due to the car being out of warranty. I am requesting your assistance before there is any injury, accident or fatality. I have the e-mail correspondence with Ford.

Drove car today and it had been sitting parked for 5 hours . Neighbors called my cell to tell me the truck was on fire and the fire department had been called to try to put it out . The fire department had to chainsaw the hood and they were finally able to put it out without the fire destroying the passenger compartment. The truck however had burned for about 15 minutes in the engine compartment . This truck had self started its own fire being left alone in the driveway for 5 hours .
Running board motor failure bilaterally, just like 2004 model. Rear window leaks from top moulding. , just like 2004 model. Rear lift door rust right under the window, just like 2004 model.
Driving to work. Going 45-50 mph, a dog runs in front of me, and swerved and hit a tree. The airbags did not deploy, resulting in serious injuries. Trying to find an attorney take the case.
The running board intermittently failed to come out properly when either door was used. The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer on 5 separate occasions and was unable to locate the problem. Please provide any further information.
A factory installed trailer hitch nearly detached from the vehicle frame. 4 of the 6 bolts attaching the hitch to the frame came loose and fell out. The 2 remaining bolts were extrememly loose.
