Tl the contact owns a 2006 Lincoln Navigator. The contact stated that it was difficult to start the vehicle. Aaa was contacted for assistance. While attempting to jump start the vehicle, the tow truck operator noticed electrical sparks in the rear fuse panel. The battery was disconnected and the contact was informed to have the vehicle diagnosed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the fuse panel needed to be replaced because the wires were melted. The fuse box was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.

2 Fuses And Circuit Breaker problem of the 2003 Lincoln Navigator

Failure Date: 09/22/2002

Consumer states while driving at highway speeds the truck completely shut down. Cause is unknown. Consumer was able to restart. Took to Lincoln they stated a fuse had blown due to a rod that had been installed beneath arm rest. Consumer states fuse shorted out. Please provide any further information. Nlm.

3 Fuses And Circuit Breaker problem of the 1998 Lincoln Navigator

Failure Date: 05/01/2001

While traveling on highway consumer noticed that vehicle will bounce down to the ground. Dealership is aware of problem. Consumer stated the suspenison light would illuminate, the air compressor relay was replaced for the rear suspension, the front washer was inoperative, cigarette lighter was inoperative, dealer found a fuse to be blown, the abs light illuminated, right front speed sensor was replaced, also the right frnt pitman arm was replaced, and the the front pads and rotors were replaced sue to them being worn which were causing nosie to be heard by the consumer.
