Four problems related to front seat belt retractor have been reported for the 1996 Lincoln Town Car. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The seat belt would not retract.
All seat belts except driver's retracts upon moving backwards.
Seat belt design causes them to tighten while driving resulting in passengers removing seat belts.
Rear seat belts locked and could not be retracted or extended.
