Takata inflators: re:--letter received from the Lincoln motor company dated March 2017 ***important safety recall***passenger frontal air bag inflator may rupture etc. -- safety recall notice 17s01 / NHTSA recall 17v-024 --the Lincoln motor CO. , has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in your vehicle, with VIN shown above. (problem) --- it has now been approx. 5 months since we received above referenced letter and although, we have contacted our local dealership on numerous occasions , there has not been a positive response as to when this recall will be consummated. (letter also stated) a ruptured inflator may result in metal fragments striking vehicle occupants, causing serious injury or death. ( is this to be interpret) -- that now that I have been informed, and continue to drive this vehicle, all liability associated with injury and or death is no longer a responsibility of Lincoln motor CO. ??? --(recent t. V. News broadcast stated)-- company that manufactured air bags has filed for backruptcy, due to numerous air bag ruptures, that resulted in 19 confirmed deaths. I asked for a loaner car until this matter is resolved an it fell om deaf ears. --what is my next coarse of action. ???.

Takata inflators. I received a recall notice concerning the takata inflators in July of 2016. I have heard nothing since.

Takata recall I feel like I should have heard by now when the manufacturer is going to replace the passenger frontal airbag inflator in my vehicle? I have a Zephyr 2006 and it's 2017 and still no update on when they are going to replace the defective part. Why does it take so long? this is my complaint.

Takata recall: I was informed about the takata recall in July 2016, one year ago. A copy of the recall notice is attached. Lincoln claims they do not have the parts to repair the passenger frontal air bag. They do not know when they will get the parts. Since the airbag inflator my rupture in a crash, I have a risk of a serious accident. A Lincoln customer support agent told me that my vehicle has a low risk of the inflator rupturing since the risk depends on the age of the vehicle. My Zephyr is almost 12 years old. Shouldn't Lincoln be repairing 2006 Zephyrs? what is the risk of a dangerous rupture?.

Takata recall. It has been nearly two years since we received notice of the problem with takata airbag inflators and yet we have not received further instruction regarding repair of this dangerous defect. Recall number: 16v84. When will takata/Ford repair this dangerous problem? we do not like driving the car as is!.

Takata recall - in June 2016, I received a notice in the mail about the following issue with my 2006 Lincoln Zephyr: the passenger frontal airbag inflator could rupture if the vehicle is involved in a crash where the supplemental frontal airbags are designed to deploy. This defect report is in response to takata dirs 16e-042, 16e-043, 16e-044. I then received another notice in December 2017 saying that the remedy parts have been delayed but may be available in spring 2018, for certain vehicles. The notice also warns owners that allowing anyone to sit in the first row passenger seat could cause the air bag inflator to rupture during a crash and could also cause injuries or death. I'm filing a complaint because not being able to have anyone sit in the front row passenger seat has been an inconvenience and this issue hasn't not been resolved within a timely manner.
