The manufacturer advised her to take the vehicle to a local dealer to have the speed control switch deactivated. The contact stated that she would have to drive 60 miles to have the switch deactivated. When the parts become available, she would have to drive back to the dealer for the repair and possibly leave her vehicle there overnight. She stated that this was unreasonable because she is elderly and her husband has been in and out of the hospital. There had been no failure to date. The recall number was unknown. The current mileage was 65,000.
