It has cut out on four occasions when the transmission is in neutral. Three times sitting in traffic where the driver was unaware until putting vehicle in gear to take off. The other occasion was while making a right turn with the clutch in and suddenly the power steering was gone since the truck was not running. Mazda has no idea of what problem is and expects owner to continue driving under these conditions. Has been to dealer three times for condition and examined by factory representative.
Tl- the contact owns a 2001 Mazda B4000 cab plus. While driving in inclement weather, the contact began to lose control of the vehicle. He then engaged the electronic four wheel drive function but the function failed to activate. The dealer was contacted and advised the contact to purchase a new 4x4 control module. The manufacturer was also contacted but did not offer any assistance since the vehicle was no longer under warranty. No repairs were performed. The failure mileage was unknown. Kmj.
