Spare Tire Problems of Mazda B4000

Type of car: 2000 Mazda B4000 truck . I was driving down the road at about 30mph, made a right hand turn into a parking lot. Moments later I noticed in my rear view mirror a tire lying in the road. Turns out my spare tire fell out from underneath my truck. The spare tire carrier cable had snapped allowing the tire to fall to the ground. It's a very good thing this tire didn't come off while I was driving on the freeway the night before. Spare tire is smaller than original tire. Original tire size is 265/75r15, spare tire size is 235/75r15. In owners manuel it stated that spare was same size. When contacting dealer and manufacturer, they said they could change information at any time they wanted to.

Spare tire is an atx ii - firestone dealer on wm. Cannon drive in austin, TX would not replace tire and refused to provide a receipt stating tire was not affected by recall. (tiresize: 235/75 15)( dot number: tire size: 235/75 15 ).
