Tread completely separated from tire casing, damaging fender area in the process. Vehicle became very difficult to control but I was able to come to a stop without hitting anything. Tire still had air in it but was completely minus the tread. Tires has been checked recently and were found to be free of defects and correctly inflated. The failed tire showed no signs of external diress and was still inflated to 32 pounds. ( dot number: unknown tire size: p225/70r15 ).

This size tire is not under recall but should be. These tires are showing tread separation now. Firestone dealers have told me that I should be very concerned about the condition of my tires but there is nothing they can do for me because they do not qualify for replacement. Front tires began cupping after four or five months. All tires cupped after rotation. Very heavy vibration and "thumping" of vehicle. Dealer blamed tires. Firestone blamed front suspension of Mazda/Ford trucks. Neither would take responsibility. (dot number: w2uu1p0078 tiresize: p225/70r15).
These tires have always had a vibration even after repeated balancing. They need to be rebalanced after each 3,000 miles. The problem is most noticeable over 55 mph and actually gets worse the longer you drive (especially noticable over 30 miles). The selling dealer everett Mazda is now out of business and the next closest dealer dougs Mazda in lynnwood wa will not take care of the problem. I have taken it to both firestone and everett Mazda when they were in business and the problem still exists. ( dot number: tire size: p26570r15 ).
These tires have not yet failed in an external sense. They have begun to make a growling sound that was not present earlier. I had them checked this summer when the original recall was issued for different tire sizes and they were judged allright. The noise has increased although failure has not happened. (tiresize: 265/75/15)( dot number: tire size: 265/75/15 ).
I am concerned since at recommended tire pressure the both the inner and outer ribs are rounding prematurly and it is starting to go out of ballance which deffinately means the tires are changing configuration. Why has Mazda not been involved in the tire recall since they use the same tires on their vehicles?( dot number: tire size: r15x235 ).
