1 Back Over Prevention problem of the 2019 Mazda CX-5

The contact owns a 2019 Mazda Cx-5. The contact stated that the center display was malfunctioning. The contact stated that the rearview camera turned off inadvertently or failed to operate as intended while reversing the vehicle. The contact also stated that the screen display brightness would decrease independently. Additionally, the contact stated that the exterior lights would malfunction due to the failure. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the computer software was updated. The dealer also informed the contact to remove the Mazda navigation sd card. However, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the center display touch screen panel had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist as the VIN was not included in any recalls. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
