general problems of the 2008 Mazda CX-7

I already have a complaint but I forgot to add that my airbag light is on and won't come off along with my engine light it won't even crank since we broke down in the middle of highway because idh the money to get it fixed and trying to ask for a ride everyday! thank you so much.

Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Mazda motor corp cx7 gt xa. The contact stated while driving at a unknown speed, the vehicle began to shake and then shut down as multiple warning lights appeared. The vehicle was towed to the contact residence. The contact' stated her husband diagnosed the vehicle with an mass air flow sensor and the vehicle was repaired. However, the failure reoccured. The vehicle was not taken to a local dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. However, no assistance was given. The failure mileage was 154000. Lj.

After bringing to Mazda for takata inflator recall, and lower rocker arms recall, I was told my timing chain should be replaced at a cost of $1300 plus tax!!! a Mazda tech. Said he knew for sure that was the issue just from listening to the noise. My how knowledgeable for a guess. I started researching this, and see that a class action suit was filed in 2012 regarding this issue, and it went no further. I would like to know if I can get further information regarding this issue and if Mazda will pick up this bill. I see a huge amount of folks have complained about this issue and the vvt also, and Mazda has done nothing. I would like to pursue this issue further. Can you help, or direct me on how to do so? I have taken very good care of this vehicle that I have had from new and now all of a sudden it needs a $1300 plus repair? I am dissapionted in Mazda after reading the complaints, the danger this issue could cause, and the fact they dont care.

There are several recalls on this vehicle including air bags. We have made several attempts over the years to get any of these done with zero success. The dealership just keeps telling us to come back. Our air bag light comes on and goes out all the time. The lights fill with water after washing or if it rain causing the headlights to short out and blow the bulbs. The engine rattles everytime you crank the car and then goes away. We have changed the oil regularly and it still does it.

I got a recall on the air bas but the engine went up first couple weeks I had it.

Mazda Cx-7 recall 9716h. Rcvd recall notice in 10/2016 but no further notices & told in notice that parts were not available to correct the dangerous recall. Had no idea how disastrous this problem could be. Driving my Cx-7 on old willets path, smithtown, NY on 2/3/17 @ approx. 6:30pm with my 4 children in the car, traveling less than 35 mph when the right wheel came off the axle of the car. The wheel was the right side passenger side of car. The car then began to turn into oncoming traffic as a result of losing control of the car. Cars had to move out of my way as it was almost out of control. I feared for the life of myself and my 4 kids in the car. Thankfully I was able to luckily gain control of the car due to my 30+ yrs experience as a driver and force the car onto the shoulder of the right side of the road, sliding into dirt. The car skidded approx 75 feet on pavement. (photos attached) the cause of the accident was diagnosed by my mechanic as the ball joint and lower control arm of the car completely snapping/ breaking caused by erosion/corrosion, which is exactly what the recall is for. Car was towed as was not drivable. The tire cause damage to the axle wheel, and other parts of the car and engine as described by smith haven Mazda, where car is currently being repaired. Had I been traveling at a higher rate of speed, this could have been a deadly matter and myself and 4 children could have been killed. I am so upset that Mazda did not immediately notify their customers to completely stop using these cars due to the dangerous risk of death/crash. I no longer want to be an owner of this Mazda and want to ditch this car for fear of what could have happened to my family; unacceptable safety notification by Mazda. Had myself or children been killed or hurt, I would be suing Mazda. Will Mazda consider offering me any compensation on trading/selling this car?.

I want to implore you to make Mazda recall this make/model, with them knowing they have a faulty vvt/timing chain issue, that has affected hundreds,if not thousands of car owners, putting their safety at risk. I have not myself, had the issues yet, that are well documented,but unfortunately I did purchase this car, and it is unbelievable that Mazda will not fix this problem.

Vvt and timing chain noise and heavy engine rattle at start up, 72,000 miles on vehicle Mazda refuses any kind of warranty on engine.

Timing chain went out . Mazda is trying to say it sludge from poor maintenance . Even though we have all receipts since we owned it for oil changes. We just purchase this cx7 in August of 2012 with almost 28000 miles. Now a year later and 40000 miles it needs a motor.

Mazda got stuck and had no power the first time second time happened October 9,2013 car kept shutting off and finally could not move. Turbo once again twice in 5 months and I only had this pre-owned vehicle for 7 months.

First the turbo went out and now the engine!!!.

Mazda has a bulletin out to mechanics about Cx-7'd timing chain. The timing chain problem could cease an engine on a highway and cause saftey hazards. Mazda is also refusing repairs on my timing chain because I cannot produce the paperwork for my oil changes. I even have a 70,000 mile warranty which was extended because of the timing chain problems. I even called my bank to get statements proving payment in the same amount for the place I get my oil changes done, which Mazda has a couple copies of, but they refused bank statements. This is horrible business practice and us, consumers should be protected against this. My car has 65,000 miles and I'm still making car payments. I can guarentee I will never buy another Mazda and will tell everyone I knnow and post it on every site I can.

Sudden ac clutch/compressor failure with 29000 miles on vehicle. Didn't notice until we stopped at a scenic overlook off I 75 in TN and had heavy white smoke from under the hood w/ a grinding bearing noise. Repaired under warranty, but not sure if w/ an updated part(s). Research shows that this is a very common problem w/ this vehicle.

2008 Mazda cx7, a/c compressor locked up,bought it brand new from dealer and only at 14,500 miles it locks up on me.
