My mechanic told me to check with Mazda as there might be a recall that has not been taken care of yet. I called Mazda and they told me there were 3 recalls (2 of which my mechanic already fixed) and the airbag recall. Told me not to drive, but would not provide any vehicle to use and would not set an appointment until December 8th, 2025.

Third owner of vehicle. Got a notice from NHTSA and Mazda due to registration of new to us vehicle on February 25, 2021. Set up appointment on February 26, 2021 with nelson Mazda of cool springs for 10:15 a. M. On March 3, 2021. I informed the person that there were two recalls, but I only wanted the takata airbag recall done because I had already replaced the bad parts on the other recall with far superior aftermarket parts and therefore didn't need/want the other recall which was for defective ball joints. My wife dropped off the vehicle for the airbag recall. They informed us a little while later that we had to get both recalls done or they couldn't do either because they would get fined by Mazda. I told the service manager that I already repaired the ball joint issue to my liking and that the bad parts were no longer on the vehicle. I would sign off on it. He said they couldn't do either. I asked him if was the refusing to do the airbag recall that has proven to be deadly and send my wife back on the road with a defective part instead of fixing it, he said yes. I contacted Mazda customer care and spoke with a representative and kind of got the same response. I told her that the airbag recall and the ball joint recall are two different recalls not contingent on each other and rebuked her that my wife's life was worth less than a alleged fine that the dealer could get. I also told her that their refusal to do a recall on a known deadly defective part when the vehicle was there at the scheduled appointment time with parts in hand was illogical and put them in a liability legally now that they have refused to perform the mandated recall.
I did receive 2 airbag recalls ,I did visit Mazda dealers for repair , they did fixed ,and when I checked :result 0 unrepaired recalls. But I received still many recall letters. Please review and stop those letters which bother me. I 'm so grateful for your help. Have a good day.
When driving with cruise control on. The highway at 65 mph, I try to turn it off by depressing the brake, the brake is stiff and will not disengage. The only way to disengage is by pushing the on off button on steering wheel.
Took my car to get a alignment due to the shacking of the wheel when coming to a stop, when taking my car to be look at, I was advised that the control arm of my car was bad, in which I wasn't aware of. On may 1st I had the control arm replaced. Now I received letters an calls about the airbag recall. On June 15th took my car to jake sweeney Mazda after receiving a call about the recall. While in the waiting room waiting for the airbag to be repaired, the service person ben came back out and told me that I had another recall for the lower control arm of the car, in which I just had repaired on may 1st, unaware of the recall, which I found out on June 15th. After explaining to them what had happened, he told me that he needed to still fix what had already been done, with the updated parts. On June 16th, I submitted my reimbursement request on June 18th I received an e-mail back stating that all repairs done by third party would be my responsibility. I tried calling and speaking with an supervisor, who still advised me that it was my responsibility. So I explained to them that it is my responsibility to know when their parts are recalled without receiving letters are calls about it. I paid $855. 80 to get the lower control arms repaired. I provided them with the copy of my bank account, along with the receipt copy of the third party vendor who fixed the repairs. I would like to be reimbursed for my $855. 80.
My wife took my vehicle to ocean Mazda dealer located at 9675 NW 12th street miami FL 33172 for air bag recall replacement on 12/30/19 car airbags were replaced and was returned with and unserviceable steering wheel hard to turn unsafe condition to drive my wife complaint to shop manager but they refused to reinspect vehicle and find what is wrong with the steering wheel after airbags were replaced since my wife did not receive any help from shop manager she filed a complaint to doral police #141230025446 I arrived after and I polite requested manager to check steering wheel compartment if anything was damaged while installing airbags he accepted and ask me to leave car at dealership for diagnostic I will follow up writing on this complaint after find out what's happening tomorrow 12/31/19.

takata recall it seems after having my car for 4 months I ran into issues. I was driving on a residential street when my car started making a strange whining noise and small plumes or white smoke began to come from the hood, near the pulley systems. I drove home approximately 4 miles away . I went to start it the next day and it won't start it seems to be the alternator.
Takata recall. . . Received notice to immediately take car in for recall. Call to make appointment to have recall fix. Only to be told, we din't have the part and it might be awhile before receive it. We'll call you back when we get the part, in the meantime I'm driving a unsafe vehicle !.
Mazda will not complete the takata airbag recall on our vehicle no matter how many times they are contacted. We have made at least 6 attempts to contact them, I think more, for nearly a year. Mazda reps have promised to get back to me, but we never hear more. They keep sending notice by mail, but they do not follow up after I call.
Air bags have been replaced after recall in July of 2018 and air bag l8ghts hace come back on in October 2018. Both driver and passenger lights come on while driving and when stationary after starting the car.
I have received a recall notice for my vehicle, but searching your site does not show it. How do I know which is true?.
I've already make the airbag replacement in 16-March-2018 but I'm still receiving the notifications. There's been 1 year and a half since then and got like a hundred of notifications. I'm beginning to think that the dealer didn't do the replacement. Or maybe you havent updated the database? I'm worried because the Mazda dealer is telling me to ignore those notifications. I'm trying to contact you but there's no way to contact anybody in NHTSA. This is the 2nd time I file a complaint and there's no response. I think you aren't doing enough with this emergency. Email: oneillalicea123@yahoo. Com.
Recalls my # 615-209-1276 kevin ritter.
Takata recall I haven't had an accident, but am very worried that if I do the air bag may explode. Since my vehicle is a 2010, how long does Mazda have to repair this vehicle?.
I took my 2007 Mazda cx7 for service and two safety recalls, last year. The replaced the lower control arms at the front end. They also did the safety recall 9516e=passenger air bag replacement. After a while the air bag dash red light comes on and stays on for a while. My cx7 has 97,500 miles and now my engine sounds like is a diesel engine when I am at a stop traffic light. It seems like the timing chain is stretching. They have not added this variable valve timing defect as a safety recall, after all this is a Ford engine and I was expecting this Mazda to last up to the 200,000 miles.
1) we received notification of the recall when we purchased the used vehicle on 7/8/2017. The manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for my vehicle in a timely manner. The safety risk associated with this recall is the vehicle may experience significant loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Takata recall: Mazda keeps saying to wait for a second letter. It is a 2010 and has been years. Why don't they repair the car?.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2009 Mazda Cx-7. The contact stated that the vehicle lacked stability when being operated at high speeds. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the lower control arms and ball joints were defective and needed to be replaced. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 17v429000 (air bags) and 16v593000 (suspension). The contact was unable to get the remedy completed due to lack of communication by the dealer (dennis dillon Mazda, 9501 w fairview Ave, boise, id). The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. The failure mileage was 157,142. Parts distribution disconnect.

There are 2 recalls issued on my vehicle. One is the airbags and the other is the lower arm control. I have contacted Mazda 4 times and they tell me they do not have parts and don't have a time frame that I can come in and get these issues resolved. Both of these recalls are a safety concern for myself and my children.

Also the bearings are recalled. We received two letters from the Mazda recall department, stateing the recalls.
Takata recall - I was notified March 2017 that my vehicle was part of the recall campaign 16v-356 and that passengers should not ride in my vehicle until the airbag was replaced. Now it appears that recall was superceded by another, campaign 17v-429, but Mazda does not show my vehicle included when I key in the VIN online or call their customer service number 800 222-5500. The airbag has not yet been replaced and I want the work done ASAP. My husband refuses to ride in the vehicle and the wait for repair has been unacceptable. I understand that vehicles in zone a are currently being repaired. My vehicle was first registered in California and I lived there up until a short time ago when I moved to oregon. I believe the humidity in eureka (my former home) may have affected the airbag and think my vehicle should still be part of this campaign for replacement. No one at Mazda or NHTSA can explain why my vehicle was included in the first recall campaign and not the second if the problem has not been rectified. The NHTSA customer service rep said that I may get a letter in the future about the recall, but at present her database did not list it. I don't think this is an appropriate response. If the vehicle is dangerous, it needs to be repaired and I have waited long enough for that to happen. If I, or anyone else in my vehicle is hurt or killed because of this negligence, there will be legal action taken.
Got 2 recalls telling me that I will be contacted when it parts are in to be repaired, so far nothing is been done.
Takata recall NHTSA #17v-429; also recall NHTSA #16v-593 (manufacturer recall #9716h) front suspension/steering recall. Attempted to obtain replacements at Mazda in texas, was always told "parts unavailable". Recently attempted to obtain replacements in oregon, was also told "parts on order/unavailable. " have not had any accidents related to these recalls, just difficulty obtaining replacement parts from several Mazda service centers.
Takada recall. I have contacted the Mazda dealer in bossier city la concerning the recalls for my vehicle and the dealer still has not resolved the issues.
The contact owns a 2007 Mazda Cx-7. While driving at an unknown speed, the driver's side frontal air bag deployed without warning or impact. The contact was knocked unconscious by the impact and struck a parked vehicle. The contact sustained bruising to the head, which did not require medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The vehicle was not inspected by a dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
Takata recall - liberty Mazda in wakefield MA - just recently purchased a Mazda cx7 and knew there was a recall. Scheduled service and for the recall and took car in July 19th - when picked up they said they didn't have the part (scheduled 1 1/2 weeks in advance) and we had to wait for the recall letter. Called Mazda directly who told us they only needed the VIN. Mazda contacted liberty and spoke to rob and had them order the part. Scheduled for Aug. 23rd. Liberty said they still didn't have the part and that Mazda (in CA) ordered it from the wrong warehouse (GA) so it may not be in until maybe Saturday. I called Mazda and was informed that the dealer was ordering the part. Just called liberty Mazda today and got the same story that Mazda (CA) was ordering the part and they saw an invoice there but had no idea when it would be in. I feel that liberty Mazda is giving us the run around. We already brought the car in once for the recall and nothing happened. Now we keep getting told that a part that was suppose to be ordered on Aug. 17th may not be in until after the 27th? not sure how parts are shipped but I called another local dealer yesterday (Aug 23) who said if he ordered the part that day he should have it by Saturday. This is a safety issue that we have not been able to get resolved since July 19th!.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2008 Mazda Cx-7. The contact stated that NHTSA campaign number: 17v429000 (air bags) exceeded a reasonable amount of time for repair. The manufacturer offered another location where they would transport the vehicle to be serviced; however, the contact stated that he had not heard from them since. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
