I received the primary notification of safety recall in July 2016. I have not received any more information since then, the air bag indicator pops in the dashboard often and I cannot take my care to the emission test until the problem is corrected.

Mazda recall #: 9516e / NHTSA recall #: 16v-356 may 25, 2016 safety risk: an inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the vehicle occupants, resulting in serious injury or death. Mazda recall #: 9716h Aug 10, 2016 safety risk: the vehicle may experience significant loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash. Both are recalls that state they may result in causing the vehicle to crash or cause serious harm to the occupants in the event of a crash. Both are listed as incomplete; remedy not yet available. The manufacture should have to correct these issues ASAP. The second states on the form mailed to our home "until this repair is performed, do not allow passengers to ride in the front passenger seat. " how is that acceptable when they are aware of the issue? thanks in advance for looking into these issues. My desired resolution is to take the vehicle ASAP to get them corrected.

While driving the wheel and steering became impossible to control. The car was only stopped by a wall on the highway. My husband was driving and had a heart attack during this incident with the car. The airbag on the drivers side was deployed.
Mazda never got back to me concerning the lower control arm recall. It's been over a year and can't get any answer. Called Mazda at 702 784-1100 several times. Don't remember when initially contacted.
While I was driving in town hwy the a/c sytem quick working , smoking coming from the hood and I totally lossed the power steering on the car. . Finally after pulling over on a safe place on the side of the hwy I realized the a?c compressor locked and the cluch fell off and the serpentine belt for the steering was broken as well. . What a mess and dangerous situation. . Now DE dealer says muy car a/c compressor repair isn't covered under the warranty with only 39000 miles on it. . This is redicoulos and dangerous for all the Mazda Cx-7 owners . . Please take an action and recall the a/c system on those car before someone get hurt or die buy. .
Started smelling strong burning rubber odor emanating through vents of car while in operation, exited highway upon seeing white smoke fuming from under hood. Loss control of steering and vehicle shut off and would not crank again. Mechanic determined ac compressor has seized and serpentine belt was snapped due to friction from pulleys. If I had stayed on freeway instead of exiting, with the lost of steering I surely would have posed a danger to myself as well as others on the road. This complaint is one of numerous thousands that have been filed on behalf of Mazda and its Cx-7 model. There should be a recall issued for the ac compressor before it causes serious injury and/or fatality.
While driving on the freeway at about 70 mph, my 2007 Mazda cx7 randomly lost power. I was able to pull to the side of the freeway even though the steering wheel became very hard to turn. I was very lucky there were not many cars around me. The motor would only rev when I pushed the gas pedal. I had the car towed to a mechanic. The next day I was told that my motor and turbo needed to be replaced. The repairs would total to about $8,000. I already owe $15,000 on the auto loan. I only had the car for one year, the motor went bad at 60, 000 miles?. I'm a full-time student and a mom, my husband makes less than $30k a year. We cannot afford the repairs at this time. As a result, the car is sitting on our driveway.
Front suspension ball joint fitting: upon either receiving or learning of the safety recall notice last year, my wife and I contacted our local Mazda dealer, ferman Mazda of brandon 9809 e adamo drive tampa, FL 33619, last year. She was told that parts were not currently available for our vehicle and that they started repairs in the northeast, before winter arrived, and we would be contacted summer (2018). The summer has come and is on its way out and we still have not been contacted. My wife called our Mazda dealership on Monday 18 September 2018, she was told she needed to bring in the notice, assuming from Mazda, regarding the recall notice. My question do one need the actual notice or can one use the NHTSA recall notice to carry out the recall.
A/c compressor locks. No power steering, overheats and dies suddenly.
Without warning the cabin of my Mazda Cx-7 filled with smoke and the powersteering went out. Apparently faulty ac compressor burned belts and knocked out powersteering. Mazda replaced compressor with new revised compressor.
The contact owns a 2007 Mazda Cx-7. While driving at an unknown speed, the power steering, brakes, and the entire electrical system failed. The contact could not stop the vehicle. Approximately three minutes later, the power steering and brakes returned. The dealer stated that they had never before experienced this type of failure. The vehicle is currently at the dealer for repair. The failure and current mileages were 35,000.
