Suspension Noise problems of the 2010 Mazda CX9

Tl-the contact owns a 2010 Mazda, Mazda cx-9. The contact stated that while driving in reverse, a loud metal on metal noise sounded outside of the vehicle. The failure occurred two days after the vehicle was serviced under NHTSA campaign: 15v451000 (suspension). An independent confirmed that the front passenger's side lower control arm was defective. The recall mentioned that the dealer would replace both driver and passenger's side front lower control arms however, the passenger side lower was not replaced during the recall remedy. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where both lower control arms were replaced with a four wheel alignment performed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 128,000. Js.
