Two problems related to side/window air bag have been reported for the 2013 Mazda CX9. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving on the highway at a normal highway speed, the side air bags suddenly inflated for no apparent reason, both the driver and passenger sides.
The contact owns a 2013 Mazda cx-9. The contact stated that the passenger's side air bag deactivated warning message illuminated although there was a passenger occupying the seat. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the technician stated that the vehicle was performing up to specifications. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 50 and the current mileage was 600.
