Seat Belt Problems of Mazda MAZDA3 - part 2

The contact owns a 2011 Mazda3. The contact stated that the passenger's side seat belt buckle failed to hold the seat belt clip in place. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who cleaned the seat belt buckle, however failure was not corrected. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 17,000 and the current mileage was 19,000.

The sensor for passenger air bag off starting staying on, nothing was in the passenger seat. Now the sensor thinks someone is in the seat ( when no one is in seat) and keeps flashing the buckle seat belt warning.

My Mazda3 has, and has always had, tons of spiders building nests and webs. This occurs across my mirrors(inside and outside), seats, seatbelts, front speed and rpm gauges, windows, and under the hood. Usually occurs at night and I find them in the morning. Never of the same size or type, but it is very frustrating especially when they are inside the car. They are not only a danger to me, but to any passenger I may carry. The contact owns a 2008 Mazda, Mazda3. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle hit a washboard and rolled down a hill. The air bags did not deploy and the seat belts loosened. The contact sustained neck and back injuries. A police report was filed. The VIN was unavailable. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

I have had my vehicle for 5 years. In the past month, my drivers seatbelt has begun to fail. This is a pyrotechnic seatbelt, and has a sensor for the airbag deployment. The seatbelt does not completely lock, and can be removed by hand. I was informed that upon a crash, if the seatbelt were not completely latched, the airbag would in fact not deploy. This has occurred 4-5 times since the original occurrence. Also, when the seatbelt fails to latch you can not just push the button to release the belt. You must tug hardly to get the belt to release. Mazda is not willing to warranty this part, and the new part cost almost $300 to repair.

(visibility)the headlights both blew at the same time. I was on my way to work in the early morning the first time it happened so I had to drive approximately 8 miles the rest of the way to work in the dark, running lights only. Took the car to the dealer they said they replaced the headlights was approx. 35. 00. I guessed a fuse since both blew at the same time?? then the following year the same thing happened on my way home. It was dark and again I drove home with running lights. I think it's odd that both headlights go out at the same time every time. The passenger side seat belt doesn't work right. It locks up, unable to pull strap out to buckle up. Took it in and called Mazda. They paid for repair which was quoted at approx 89. 00. All was good for about a week. I picked my step mom up and she went to put her seatbelt on and it wouldn't extend. I have found that if you wait a few minutes and begin driving the passenger can use the belt. If we drive and the brakes are being applied the seat belt doesn't come out. Not sure if that's a coincidence or not. Didn't have it fixed again, we deal with it.

It seems when the car is cold but not always the drivers side seat belt will not release from the buckle I had it replaced under warranty but now the new one is doing the same thing not a good thing if you had to get out quickly.

I was involved in a four car collision. I was third in line, and was hit really hard from behind and then hit the car in front of me. My air bags did not deploy and my seat belt did not lock. I slammed into the steering wheel and busted my forehead open.
