Front and rear windshields get excessive condensation on the inside of windows obstructiing visibility. Car taken to dealer and they could not reproduce the same situation. This puts others at risk because the defroster does not work well when there is heavy condensation on the inside of the windows. This issue has occured several times since purchase in 2024.

Recall 23v-487 has been un-remedied for over a year. And it sounds like a zip tie would fix it. That's too long.
The wipers randomly stopped working. No matter which wiper setting was chosen, the windshield wipers would not activate. I took my car to the nearest Mazda dealer and they fixed it by replacing the body control module.
My Mazda 03 dashboard is melting, and I am not able to see out the window. . . I have talked to dealer and manufactory, and they will not pay the whole amount knowing it's a safety issue. I don't understand how they can sell product on car that is malfunctioning and a safety issue. I bought the car brand new in 2010 and didn't have any issues until this year. Please call me back at 5417291640 my name is rebecca sherwood. I was not in an accident, just think this is a safety issue.

The dashboard of my 2012 Mazda 3 has separated from the instrument panel causing a gap between them. The dashboard has become very sticky leaving a black sticky film on the surface. This has caused a glare on the windshield making it hard to see at times while driving. There is a letter dated may 2017 from Mazda, special service program (ssp) a9. The letter states that the warranty was extended 7 years (84 months) from the original warranty start date or April 30, 2018, whichever is later, with no milage limitation. As I read it, 7 years of 84 months from 2018 should extend the warranty for repair of replacement through 2025. Mazda refuses to make repairs, or replacement of this equipment that has an impact on the proper function of the airbag system and impairs the driver's vision because of the constant windshield glare. This is an issue. That needs to be addressed as an important safety.

My car has a faulty front body power module, a known issue with these cars, but Mazda keeps saying my model is not in the bracket for recalls, they say it's manufactured a day after the cutoff for the recall, so they won't give me recall repair. My windshield wipers aren't working and it's pouring rain, so this is a huge danger. I can't afford the $1500+ repair and don't think it's right this is a known issue for this car model and because mine is supposedly 1 day late I don't qualify for the recall care. They expect me to go to a dealership and pay more money for a diagnostic for something that is an issue, and then I have to call corporate again and they'll "decide" if they'll cover my car or not.
The contact leased a 2024 Mazda m3h. The contact stated that while driving at 55–60 mph, the windshield wipers continued to stay in the on position and failed to turn off. The parking brake engaged without application and turned on and off. All the electrical systems malfunctioned and failed to turn off. The lane assist engaged and forced the vehicle to crash into the side wall. All the instrument cluster warning lights were illuminated. There were no reported injuries. There was no police report filed. There was no air bag deployment or fire. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where the mechanic reset the codes. The mechanic informed the contact that the malfunction may continue while traveling over a bump. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted regarding the failure and opened a case. The approximate failure mileage was 1,900.
Intermittent faulty display (or no display) from rear-view camera as described in recall 23v-487. Recall was issued in July 2023, but as of August 27, 2024, the parts to fix the recall issue are still not available and Mazda customer service has no idea when the parts will be available. In my view, this is not a timely resolution of the problem.

Front dash is melted and very shiny causing intense glare for the driver.
Windshield wipers stopped working in every mode including auto rain detection mode.
In may 2023 the visors of the vehicle hinge melted causing the visors to hang down to eye level and would not hold up causing visibly issues for driver and passenger. Dealer said it is a common issue in heat but it blocks forward visibility and won't hold up and if there were and accident, forward movement of passenger or driver can cause the head to hit the visor causing injury.

The dashboard adhesive migrates to the surface of the dashboard. Adhesive then sublimates and condenses on the windshield making a glaze on the windshield, making it extremely difficult to see the road in sunrise or sunset conditions. I've repeatedly cleaned the windshield with many different cleaners including acetone, but at best I am only able to improve visibility, not restore it. In the attached photo, the upper portion of photo illustrates the film of adhesive on the glass after it was wiped with a clean paper towel, creating a hazy appearance. The entire windshield was cleaned with acetone and heavy duty degreaser and window cleaner prior to the photo.
Malfunction lever wiper-comb switch.
The dashboard is peeling above the display screen that shows information for radio,cd, aux, time, volume, temp outside, etc (black display screen with orange text/font). Above this display screen the dashboard is lifting up. Which has created about a 1 inch+ gap/spacing between the display and dashboard this gap has resulted in the following: 1). Inhaling of windshield fluid through ac vents (4 total on dashboard) -- when using windshield wipers to dispense windshield fluid to wipe windshield clean of dirt/debris. You can smell the funes from the windshield fluid. And windows are not open when using the windshield wipers. 2). The material used for the dashboard has peeled off and gone in between the gap. It has resulted in the ac vents dispensing the material when adjusting the open and close feature of the ac vent or making any direction adjustment of where I want the air conditioning to blow in the car. 3) the gap/spacing between dashboard and display screen has also resulted in the interior side of the windshield to have a buildup of smog on the windshield. It has resulted in issues seeing at night time when cars are driving towards me with their headlights on. When I wipe down, it will be covered again with smog/film in a few days.

The dashboards should be subject to a recall immediately since badly reduced visibility from glare is a recipe for an accident. The defective (melting) material is so bad that if the sun hits it just right, I can hardly see anything ahead of me; it is an accident waiting to happen. I called my Mazda dealer (gray epperson Mazda in cleveland, TN (423) 303-1333) but said there was nothing they could do now as there was a warranty before but it had expired. I try to drive the car but always trying to avoid sunny conditions, but unfortunately, when I leave at 5pm conditions are worse if it's sunny. I wish Mazda would accept responsibility soon (or they are forced to do so by NHTSA, if needed) so that I wouldn't have to take such a risk.
The body computer experienced a malfunction leading to the wipers becoming inoperable. This can be made available for inspection. I was driving through a snow storm, my wipers stopped working without warning causing severe loss of visibility endangering myself and those around me. The problem has been confirmed by an independent service center. It has not, however the model of car has a recall for this, it does not extend to my specific VIN. There were no warnings. The wipers worked and halfway through a drive they stopped.
My car's rear backup camera has been having issues for the last several thousand miles. I took the car in for repair, and the Mazda dealership informed me that the wiring for the backup camera has corroded. After searching various online forums, it appears that this issue is pretty common with this generation mada3. I noticed today that Ford issued a recall for a similar problem with mustangs.
I am writing to file a complaint regarding the defective dashboard of my Mazda 3. The dash of the car under the windshield has become melty and shines excessively, making it extremely difficult to see when the sun is shining on the dashboard. The reflection on the windshield is so intense that it affects the visibility of the road and makes it hard to see clearly. I was informed by the dealership that there was an extended service available for this issue, but it expired after 10 years. I was never informed of this extended service and only now, after my dashboard has become extremely affected, did I find out about it. This is extremely concerning as the dashboard is an important safety feature of the car and the reflection from the dashboard is affecting my visibility, putting myself and other drivers on the road in danger. I am extremely frustrated with the lack of transparency and communication from the dealership regarding this extended service and the fact that my dashboard has become defective despite proper maintenance and upkeep of the car. I demand that Mazda take responsibility for the defective dashboard and rectify the issue as soon as possible. I kindly request that the NHTSA investigates this matter and ensures that Mazda takes the necessary actions to resolve this issue for all affected car owners.
The windshield wipers work but the washer does not squirt the windshield washing fluid out and it the reservoir is full of fluid but there are certain days in which I need that to work because my visibility is greatly reduced which has made the risk of accident that much greater. It says there is a recall pertaining to this problem and the fix was a relay however nothing comes up for my specific car when I enter the VIN but I would like this problem fixed and I’m not sure how to go about it.
I was sitting in the car while the ignition was off. I hit the rearview mirror slightly and it fell off.

Front windshield wipers for my 2018 Mazda 3 stopped working without any warning while driving on the highway under heavy rain fall. I recently read online about a faulty wiper motor relay but I have not received any information from Mazda 3 about this.
The dashboard is melting and its causing a poor visibility due to the shiny reflection on the windshield.
I was driving about 60mph on a 4 lane us route when I heard a loud bang coming from my sunroof. I look in the rearview mirror and see a large chunk of glass flying behind me. I open the sunroof visor partially and notice I am missing glass. The glass for my sunroof is tempered. It was about 65 degrees and very humid, but no precipitation. The picture is from a parking lot about 10mins after the incident.

Vehicle in motion at 65 mph. Very small rock chip breaks glass from left to right calling for complete replacement. Glass is highly fragile and too thin. Second occurrence in less than one year.
I recently have been experiencing visibility issues with my 2012 Mazda 3 sedan. It started when the plastic interior above the steering wheel became "goopy" as it heats up from the sun. It is impossible to remove and has left behind a shiny surface that reflects on the windshield in front of my driving peripheral. I've researched this issue and have found recalls for other years of Mazda makes/models, but not mine. There is nothing I can do and it's becoming worse making it so I can barely see out my front windshild on bright, sunny days. Please let me know if this issue can be resolved in anyway as it affects my everyday life and is becoming more and more dangerous to drive, especially when the sun is at high noon. I have attached some photos to show how the interior panel has become naturally. It's currently a cloudy day so the glare issue is not showcased as much. I have temporally laid a tan cloth over to reduce some of the glare because it's less shinny than the melted interior (which seems to reduce the glare problem by 50%). Thank you for listening and I hope to hear back soon.
I'm having an issue with all glass in the vehicle when I'm driving in the rain or foggy weather. Seems it's like the top layer of glass was damaged by sun, please follow the links below to see more details: https://imgur. Com/a/zlidrmj https://youtu. Be/q47nisrtwzw https://youtu. Be/frgwtvq3gdg.
The rear wiper stopped working during a drive in heavy rain conditions, similarly like it happen to the same vehicle for the front wipers 6 months after I got the vehicle. I tried to schedule an appointment with the dealer but with the pandemic it was not possible. When I went for the actual appointment on March 2021, they told me the vehicle was out of warranty even though it is barely 3 years old, and just for a diagnostic they will charge $160 plus tax. The potential repair would be extra, ranging from a new bcm to a new motor, or both, scaling up to $450 repair bill. The issue is extremely similar to a safety recall that the vehicle had for the front wiper were they had to change the relays free of charge. I consider this also a safety issue as if you're driving in the highway at 55mph during the heavy rain and you are not able to see and vehicle that comes at high speed, such truck that loose the brakes in a roundabout exit, that poses a safety risk to drivers and owners of this vehicle. A recall should be made for this rear wiper issue like for the front one.
Dashboard is hold down fails through terrible designed system. Dashboard is held down with cheap plastic clip on control screen. Through quick online research, this is a common consistent issue with all similar Mazda vehicles through many years. Mazda acknowledges issue with extending their warranty; however, only for 7 years from original warranty or 2018 (whichever is the later). Advise from other customers, this "repair" does not fix the issue, and issue does occur after repairing. This issues causes an obstruction of view as well as a distraction. Mazda expects customers to pay for replacing dashboard and info display!!!!.
My car's dashboard is melting creating an awful smelly chemical fume of whatever is deteriorating. Touching it results in getting molten dashboard on my fingers and there is an awful glare on the windshield when driving impairing visibility. It's been hot this summer and whatever the dashboard is made of was not built to handle heat.
Defective windshield wiper 0n my 2015 Mazda3, that NHTSA acknowledged defective on Mazda 3. 2016,17, 18, were defective and recalled. I want my auto to be acknowledgment for the same defect. The dealership wants on estimate $900. This seems totally unfair. My windshield wiper renders my vehicle unsafe. After your acknowledgment of the defect. While driving and washing my window with the wire fluid, the wipers stopped instead if teturing to th wiper bay. The next day in heavy rainfall in seattle. They stopped working without me having to manually switch between settings. Creating an extremely dangerous situation. I feel that I am being held hostage to a very high price. After your commission recognized this hazard. I want my repair, and I want justice.
2017 Mazda 3 grand touring hatchback driving on a road going 30 mph and hear what sounded like a muffled gunshot right above me. I saw that I had glass raining down the back of my car, emptying onto the street and causing cars to swerve to avoid the glass. That was when I realized that my sunroof just exploded. I pulled over and saw that the sunroof was shattered with splinters of glass everywhere. I noticed that the sunroof bursted outward, as if nothing fell on it. There was nothing above me or beside me at the time of the explosion. The f-150 in front of me was going the same speed 5 car-lengths in front of me. The pieces of glass that fell behind my car left many scratches on the roof and spoiler of my car. The road I was driving on had rolling dips at an incline, but nothing like a jolting bump or pothole-like bump. Note how my sunroof exploded outward, meaning that the sunroof might have been fitted improperly, squeezing the glass inward. I think that when I went over the rolling gradual bumps that the chassis flexed and caused the sunroof to bend in a different way and explode.
