We were parked at the local shopping center when my 8 yr. Old son went to unbuckle his seat belt and the entire thing fell apart.
There is an apparent design flaw with the third row safety belt. The anchor for the shoulder is too far forward to secure the belt against the rear passenger which would lead to injury in the event of a collision. We hope this could be remedied in future models or possibly correct for current models on the road. We feel insecure about letting our children in their buster seats ride in the third-row or even adults when we have a full car. We would hope that NHTSA can determine risk of potential issues not just ones that have already caused injury. Thanks.
